Ok, ladies, 2011 is just around the corner. Sign up if you have diet/exercise/weight loss goals for the year! We'll check in on occasion and hold each other accountable!
This thread is to offer support and report the positives, not dwell on the negatives or failures! We'll all have some ups and downs, but it's the big picture that counts.

I'm going to lose the two stone I've put on this year due to the Provera, and I'm going to gradually get back into gentle exercise. I'm not going to overdo it, it's going to be a challenging enough year as it is with the gallbladder op and hectic at work, but I feel I have the right support in place to give it a really good go!

I'm in! I had a better day today than I've had in weeks, so I went to the gym and feel really good for it. Got my print out too seeing as I'm supposed to get one every 2 weeks but haven't to the gym in nearly 6 weeks, so, here's my vitals for me to compare with! Weight: 10st 6lbs or 66.6kgs Height 5'9.6" or 177cm Resultant BMI: 21.3 (ideal weight range) Body fat mass: 17.3kg which is 26% of my body mass (yikes) I'd like to get my body fat down to something more decent for my frame, in my mind if my PCOS sister can do it on a crappy diet, I can too. I can see problem areas where there's a lot of fat and it's disproportionate to the rest of my body so those are areas I will focus on tightening up. My big aim is to feel happier with my body and most importantly keep some level of activity going despite the endo trying to bitch-slap me, to feel less jiggly and just get fit and healthy. Getting back into my normal jeans would be a big indicator

My big health goals for this year are attending yoga 2 to 3 times a week. 4 if I'm feeling up to it physically. I would also like to stick as close to the endo diet as possible. Right now tomorrow will be a week without gluten and I'm feeling good. Next is going off dairy.

I've been thinking about this as I don't want to say I have a goal then totally ignore it (which is what I often do!)
I am 5'7 and weigh 10 stone 10 pounds. Whilst this isn't huge, I don't feel totally comfortable and would like to aim to lose at least ten pounds. Once I get there, I'll see how I feel - for me, it's not the weight but how I feel about it. I've been a lot bigger so this shouldn't be a problem.
I am also going to look into yoga as I found when I stretch I do feel better.

I'm kind of with Gemstone - I don't want to throw out a goal that I don't think is realistic. And for now, my doc still doesn't want me to exercise much. BUT, a friend and I are going to run another 5 mile fun run this spring so I'll count that as my goal, and although I'd love to lose another 10 pounds or so, as long as I can maintain where I'm at and not tip the scales in the other direction, I'll be quite happy!
Oh, and I'd love to get a bit more definition, so I'll plan on doing a bit of weights whenever I'm in the gym!

Sorry I am a day behind. Weight: 156lbs or 70.76kg Height 66.93" or 170 cm Resultant BMI: 24.6 (barely under Overweight) Body fat mass: 19.09 kg or 42.1 lbs - 26.8%
I would really like to my weight down by 10 - 15 lbs, BMI to the range of 21.00 to 19.00 and my Body Fat Mass to the range of 20.6 to 17.2. I am really hopeful for everyone. Good Luck for 2011!!!

Weight: 169lbs Height: 5'8" Goal: Just to get out and move more, and feel better. I'm already feeling a little better, since I've miraculously dropped a few pounds, so I just want to keep myself feeling better. I don't have a particular weight loss goal, however, as I need to find out where my body is comfortable, so I know what I should weigh. I only know what I've lost b/c when I noticed my clothes fitting a little looser, I got curious. Good luck, ladies, in your efforts. Remember, you have to indulge a craving, once in a while, and it's not about how you look; it's about how you feel.

Right, after posting I had a little think and a little word with Helen. I think rather than aiming to lose weight, which tbh, I don't really need to do, I am going to concentrate on doing some exercise and toning up. I am a size 12-14 (I think that's an American 8-10??) and this is fine, I am just a little flabby from not doing any exercise for, well ever!!
So I am modding my challenge to exercise only. I am getting back on the endo diet wagon and am feeling really positive about this so fingers crossed I should be motivated to exercise! Also the boyf has said he will come jogging with me, so that will definitely help.

I know my doc said to go easy on exercise, but I'm quite interested in that form of exercise Helen mentions...

Ha ha!!! Actually, I'm so unfit, that every time I 'indulge' in that exercise, my thighs are killing me the next day!!!

Hey, me too, but at least I feel justified in skipping the gym the next day! Great arm workout, too...
