I was given percocet after my surgery and I think that's what caused my constipation. Maybe the pain killers fixed your diarrhea?

RANT! Drove two hours in freakin' pain to get in there and he hadn't gotten the ultrasound to read and didn't trust the report. He keeps saying 'well if its a cyst and its asympotmatic then its not a problem. DUH. I did explain that the Dilatad I received at the ER just took the bare top of the pain away and he gave me something stronger to hold me until he can read the report. FREAKIN DOCTORS!! If my remaing ovary and tube are covered in Endometriomas then I'm out of luck and they are going to have to go. I dont' know what to think about all this but I can't sit here any longer cause it really hurts!

Time to get another doctor (and yes, I know you live in the sticks...). This one is only making you more sick! If you have to travel to another state, it might be worth it!

Have you considered the hysterectomy option? I know everyone here is SO against a hysterectomy but two of my Aunts had total hysterectomys and they both say that they've never felt better in their entire life.

If I have endometriomas on my remaining tube and ovary I will have to get a hysterectomy. I tried to tell the doctor to lose the ovary and keep the uterus and he wasnt listening. Of course I belive the pain may be caused by a prolapsed uterus and (He didn't even give me and exam) that will solve that pain as well. All in all my body is giving me all kinds of grief! And the doctor is not helping. GRRR!!

Just to put my two cents in too...I'm not against it either. Everyone I've ever talked to in 'real life,'two aunts included (who had endo), say it was the best thing they've EVER done for themselves. If I'm not on my way to feeling better by the time I'm 35, I'm ripping it all out!
Hope you get to feeling better Karla...

^^^ LOL as soon as I was old enough to know what the uterus did I wanted nothing to do with it. I'm all for hysterectomys if endo is getting THIS bad. I just think it's a good choice... yeah yeah there's no guarantees.. but how is that different than all this insanely horrific drug treatment you go through? And having lap after lap after lap... it's just crazy.

I know....but hey, to each their own. I know there are plenty of ladies that are adamant on keeping their lady bits, and that's great. BUT every women I've ever talked to in person that had endo or some other chronic pelvic issue said it was the greatest thing they ever did and wish they would've done it sooner. If you're finished having children Karla, do you think it'd be an option for you, or are you against it?

I did a lot of research... because that was the very first option a year ago by our antiqated local doctor. He does many a week which implies to me that he is doing a lot of unneccasary ones. I haunted hyster sisters quite a bit. The biggest concern is the sexual side affects. The hysterectomy causes a lot of blood loss down there which means the clitoris is affected. That concerns me since I happen to enjoy sex! I also know that taking out that last ovary means a lot of other health concerns... bone loss, etc. BUT its all a trade off because if I can't sit down for long periods of time then something isn't right. I'm waiting for a phone call from our doctor in wenatchee and then I will decide what to do. He is supposed to look over the ultrasound as soon as he gets it and tell me if he thinks they are endometriomas or not. SINCE this is the doctor that missed the last three... I'm not thinking he is going to figure anything out. I'm just scared of the hysterectomy and I know it won't fix the endo. It would fix the cysts though. Soo... i'm partially for it If they are indeed enometriomas and there is also the prolaps that I suspect. BESIDES... I just went through a major surgery two months ago. I'm having a hard time talking myself into another one. Thanks for all the advice though girls. ( at least I'm not alone!!)

Yeah the sexual side effects would bother me too. I really feel like sex is a huge part of a relationship and when it became painful for me it cause me to be extremely depressed. There are definitely side effects to a hysterectomy that's for sure and it seems like it only gets rid of endo if you have EVERYTHING removed. It's a hard choice I'm glad you were able to have children though! I wish you tons of luck.

My cousin also said hysterectomy was the best thing she ever did. She also said she wished she would have done it in her 20's. I LOOOOVE the "local antiquated doctor" bit! I'm so going to have to use that one! It's like when I called up a private pharmacy and said, "I'm having trouble with my local Wal-Mart pharmacist...." Wishing you the best.
