and no I don't drink unless its fruity but all the endo books say alcohol makes the pain worse? I bet it gives you a few hours of relief though if you get snockered enough! LOL I sure hope that synarel comes in soon. I'm out of narcotics and in a lot of pain. I keep trying to decide if its worth the cloudy feeling being on constant pain killers since they dont' seem to help very much anyways. I did start the Prozac so I'm hoping it won't take to long to get in my system. I believe it takes a few weeks though, like my asthma steroids it has to get built up in the system. I was taking tylenol which is like taking candy its so NOT effective. I don't know, I guess I will see how much I can take and decide on monday if I call the doctor. I wish he would have just given me something. I hate the 'drug seeking' feeling that I get everytime I have to call for pain control.

Synarel is stuck in the paper stage right now. I dont' know if the doctor is screwing it up or the insurance! I'm starting to get a little annoyed, actually a lot annoyed. I thought I had this all figured out and now i'm doing the waiting game. I wish sometimes I had just gotten the shot last wednesday. ARGH! Patients I still don't have... i wonder if I'm old and gray if I will still be as impatient as I am today??

Yes, I'm more back to the pain I have been living with for a long time, its worse since the surgery but I can most days tolerate it... My belly insicion only tweakes on occasion now. I still get swelly belly every night especially if I overdo it, (dance the night away!) but apparetnely that can take up to six months to go away. I have to ice it every night and that has been helping. My right remaining ovary is apparently still functioning and that's why I'm worried about getting on the synarel before to long. Even with only one stubborn ovary I'm somehow still cycling away normally so... I mean if I'm going to do this I would just like to get it over with. I had myself all physced up to 'get er dun' and now i'm sitting around waiting. Got a sick, sick kiddo too! Poor thing had to go to the ER last night. She is still pretty punky!

Ah, the 'ol hurry up and wait... Fun stuff. For me, the hardest part of everything was wondering what my 'new normal' would be like with whatever I tried. Here's hoping it's worth the wait for you. And good for you for getting out and dancing!

so still... waiting. The doctor is not the one stalling. They called this morning to tell me that their end has been taken care of and its stuck at the insurance office. Grr! The really annoying thing is that I had to do all this prior approval for the shot but I knew that I did so I had it all ready to go before my appointment. I wish I had realized I had to do the same thing and been ready for it. That would have been nice! oops...

Update: Can't afford the synarel for all the wait... 499.00 and that was after the insurance paid there half. We will be calling the doctor and deciding what we do after the weekend.

Ugh, that sucks. Any idea if Lupron is any cheaper? I don't understand how insurance companies come up with their coverage for meds at all.
Here's hoping you can do some research this weekend and figure out what next steps you're most comfortable with!

I addressed this earlier in the thread, the Lupron is only a 15 dollar co-pay but you are committed to a month or three months of it in your system. I was trying to avoid that by going with the synarel. Now... well I just found out, so I will spend the weekend thinking it over and what not. My hubby and I both agree that anything that stays in your system that long...? Yikes!

Yeah, I'd be just as scared of the staying-in-your-system-so-long part of things!! (And, yes, I know some women are soooo glad that they've gone on it, and there are some women that didn't have a good experiences...) Here's hoping you and your doc are able to come up with a good solution - and soon!
