My bladder pain is back. My stomach is doing the wave when I pee and I feel like I'm going to hurl when I'm trying to get it out. I feel so constipated as well - I think that there is something causing pressure and maybe it's on a nerve causing this butt pain. Geeze, this sucks. I'm totally having a pity party today.

Go ahead you deserve to feel sorry for what's going on, sounds so unpleasant Whenever I had bladder trouble thanks to endo covering it in blankety endo goodness, it was like having a constant UTI. All's I can say now is that I feel better if I drink more and have good long pee, but if it's endo, I guess we'll all have different causes of pain and discomfort and difficulty and we all have to find our own little ways of relieving the symptoms. Unfortunately thanks to gravity our bladder, rectum and pouch of douglas (space between our rectum and vagina, literally a pouch shape also known as the cul-de-sac) are sitting targets for endo, hence a lot of toilet problems. Really hoping this passes for you chicagogal

thanks. I'm not doing good right now at all. My ass literally feels like it's going to fall out. Passing gas even hurts. The tramadol didn't work as good as it did last month. I feel fuzzy from it, took one at 630am, want to take another but hubby just left and I'm scared to take a 2nd incase it is too much in my system. The wind is literally out of my sail : (

Oh girl, I'm sorry it's continuing.... My doc let me take Ibuprofin on top of Tramadol, fyi, and after surgery I was allowed to take Ibus, tramadol, AND dilaudid. So check with your doc but maybe you could add ibu on top of the tram and feel a bit better?
Oh and this week when I saw my GP she warned that while I'm still not feeling messages telling me bladder's full, to go ahead and try to pee anyway every 2 hours at least, since I drink a LOT of water etc. It makes me feel better to do this and will prevent my damaging my poor confused body any further. good luck let us know, k! I just took another tramadol and ate some toast with jam. I just wanna cry, my stomach is heaving almost like I'm on a rollercoaster with that heart in your throat feeling. I need a hug right now. Hubby isn't home until 9pm - I just feel better when someone is home with me. My kitty is such a good nurse, she's been following me around the house all day - if I take a bath, she stays there with me. She's been curled up on my lap all day - she helps me to be calm - my little 19 year old beauty.

Aw, sorry you're feeling so awful. Are you able to sleep at all?
I'm with Pretty - tramadol doesn't do much for me unless I take it with ibuprofin. But PLEASE discuss that with a doc first, we could all be on different doses and that could make a difference. Something to consider, though, if you need more relief.

I should mention that constipation and palpitations are an issue for me on tramadol, besides it making me violently ill. It's really a crappy drug to take if you have constipation issues already. You may want to up your soluble fibre intake, or bet on a mild laxative and stool softener if you want to continue to take it. It's a drug with a fair few side effects unfortunately for those who need it when I could take it last year after my op, they suggested paracetamol to increase it's efficacy, and damn it worked! I'm not sure how cos I never looked it up but paracetamol helped the painkilling effect of the tram. You can take these along with an NSAID but definitely see your doc for advice like Karen said.

I've been dozing on and off all day long - it's been a jammies day and cuddled up with this super soft sherpa blanket. Well, the tramadol is working......I'm so drowsy now....and the pain is going away, thank goodness! I feel weak now and my heart is a little racy - I guess this is just a side effect I had to deal with. I'd rather be sleepy than hurting. I've been snacking on prunes all day as well, must have eaten at least 10 today and will have more tonight to keep things moving - constipation is the last thing I need. Cherry how many hours ahead are you from central time? I'm guessing it must be very late for you right now?

Ah that's good to hear, and hopefully you'll be pooping nicely tomorrow, having a clear and free moving bowel does wonders for how that all feels down there too If you have a quandary with not being sure whether to take more tramadol then I would definitely recommend the paracetamol. It literally allowed me to cut down from the max dose at a time when I was on everything for pain relief, and is so gentle by comparison. And well to take ibuprofen if a medic says you can/should, it makes sense to have more pain relief with it tackling your pain from a different point and also being an anti-inflammatory. Helen and Gemstone and I are 5 hours ahead of EST? I always know what time is it in NY you're right though, it's late and I am taking my booty to bed. Oh I pee less on tram so keep an eye out for that, keep those kidneys moving girl, I hope this passes quickly. I hate this disease.

I'll definately keep that med in mind next time I'm at the doctor I'll ask. I hope I can poop tomorrow - that would be nice - just alot of gas right now which is probably a good sign that things are moving along in there. I'm going to eat an avocado soon as well. Side note, how do I activate the icons like the smiley face and stuff? I'm totally keeping a journal of daily poops and pees to watch out for any changes, been doing this all month now and starting today I'm also going to track my body temp and already have the chart from TCOYF - would sure be nice to get pregnant for christmas! Have a good night and thanks again for being her for me! Today was sure the sh*ts.

(to find the smilies, hit 'reply' at the bottom of the last post in a thread and you'll see an expanded menu vs. just the 'quick reply' box.)
Hope you get some rest tonight and have a satisfying poop in the a.m.! Ha, how many times do you normally get to say that during a day?

First, I'm happy to report some relief! I sent hubby out to dunkin donuts to get me an xl coffee to get things moving and it worked like a charm. I found that when I pass a poop the peeing is much easier. I still can't put my finger on the issues that I have. Is it a urologist issue, a poop dr issue or a regular doctor issue. It's got to have something to do with being plugged up and having a hard time peeing. I don't understand where the tie is. I wonder if my bowels are somehow attached to my bladder and when 1 is bothered, it affects the other? I have to get a better understanding so I can verbalize this better and then figure out which is the right dr. to see. If I'm passing large stools there is no way I have an obstruction right? Sorry, I'm rambling now...

Yay for poops! I hate to be a boorish dirty-mouthed mare but really, doesn't a good crap do wonders! I think an internal exam and maybe a scan can shed some light, before my lap last year I found that peeing really caused my rectum to hurt like it was being pulled. It turned out that my rectum was attached to my vagina so thinking about it, with it all jam packed in there, even when the bowel and bladder aren't stuck together, everything is just so easy to upset. My womb and my bowel used to play off each other like a horror story and knowing some of the issues they found with my lap it's so clear in hindsight. When you see problems with passing food through your system in a clear chain of events, that's a time to worry about an obstruction. I've never had anything like that but it was something that was suspected because I wasn't able to eat properly and sometimes just randomly puked. Our bodies have such a huge array of reactions to endo. It would be fascinating for a doc to document all of this
