I always have like a hangover headache the next day after I've taken tramadol. It lasts for the whole day....not fun.

I'm taking a penicillin med 1,000mg a day and doing way better. Still have some ooze coming out but it's not sore anymore. Tomorrow I go for my six week check up. She will check my stitches from hysterectomy, go over blood results with me and hopefully give me ok for sex!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!! It's been 7 weeks of no sex and I am excited and nervous all at the same time!!!! What if it hurts? What if I am dry? What if it's not good for him? ?!?!?!? He will be great no matter what but I feel like a damn virgin. Lastnight I had a terrible pain in my stomach at 2am and lasted 45 minutes and then stopped all of a sudden. I have that happen every once and awhile and normally from dairy or gluten but I had none lastnight so I don't get it. I am going to talk to my NP tomorrow about it. I have read about gall bladder attacks and I think that is what it is.

What if it's not good for HIM? Geez woman! You're the one that had surgery! HE should be the one worried if it's good for YOU! LOL :-P
I hope you get the ok and that things are fine!

You will be amazing in bed, woman!! You will be prepared for whatever mishaps may come up, but with that long of a break from sex, I'm guessing your hubby won't be marathon man anyway!

After my hysterectomy I was scared and had the same worries both for my self and my hubby so I totally understand. I was so nervous that I really couldn't "go" the first few times while he was actually inside. So don't freak yourself out to much. It does hurt a little (not hurt so much as its sensitive, like the skin on our bellies after surgery) The biggest problem is the lube. I use absolute copious ammounts now. Your body is supposed to still be able to produce lube on its own after the hysterectomy but its a really common problum. I also still can't do a paticular angle/position that I used to do on occasion. It just feels wrong somehow. Fortunetly it wasn't one I use often! My hubby was equally worried so be sure yours is probably as well. COMMUNICATE!! that is the biggest problem that people have with sex. Tell him if it doens't feel right until you find the way it does! AND yes as far as I'm concered its worse then being a virgin again.

Well, thanks for your awesome replies. You guys are awesome And I always feel better when I read my replies!! I had my six week checkup yesterday. My NP said I looked really healthy in there and was producing mucus which is great!!!! She said take it slow the first few times and if we are fine, then go for it. She was also really happy with my belly button, said it looks okay and it is normal on the oozing and blood and to give it time to heal. I am getting a bit nervous about it because it is still lightly oozing blood and pus but is not sore. I am only on antibiotics another five days and its been five days of this. She is putting me on low dose of thyroid medication, back on b12 and vitamin d due to deficiencies I have been trying to resolve my kow thyroid levels naturally for a looooong time and it keeps getting worse She will re- draw blood 2-3 months and call me on the phone for a consult to see where my hormones are at. She said my estrogen was improved (meaning its not crazy high) but my progesterone is a bit low but not bad. She is not giving me any hormones yet because it looks okay an she says it takes awhile after a hysterectomy and loaing an ovary for things to normalize She wants to retest in 2-3 months. She also let me know that with a hysterectomy my iron needs to be checked because your period normally regulates the bodys iron. She said my iron was fine but she will also recheck in 2-3 months. She said thyroid and iron need to be checked frequently as I hopefully won't go into menopause. She said the two options are I go into menopause at the normal age or my ovary poops out in a few years. She said I will know if that happens!! She said when she read Redwines surgery report on me she said it was the worst case of Endo she herself has seen and she was really impressed with the surgery. I told her to recommend him to any of her patients with Endo. She is really happy with how well I have healed and how fast I have healed. So on with the juicy details of how the sex was. ( if you dont Like details you can stop reading now) Well I embarrassed myself terribly. My husband and I go home for lunch and I texted him the good news. I dragged him into the bedroom and practically ripped his clothes off. I got on top of him and told him It felt really good. He starts laughing and tells me it's not in yet. I tell him, yes it is!!! He says no, it's barely in. I'm sooooo embarrassed because I'm getting off already and its not even in. Well it went in and it was quick for both of us. Didn't hurt and we took it slow. I was a bit dry an it felt tighter and bubbie said I felt smaller but it wasn't bad at all. So I feel normal and back to my pain free existence. It is great to not have pain and not be stressing about my next period. I feel really really good. (especially after yesterday ;-) ). My only worry at this point is my belly button.

Thought I'd post a short update. It's now been 8 weeks and I continue to feel better and better. I am still pain free and am now starting on a diet and exercise program to lose some weight. It feels so good to have the energy to do things. This surgery although major and expensive was the best choice I have made. :-)
