hey, tfaith. I know exactly what you are talking about. I also had all the tests for gallbladder issues! Instead of taking fiber capsules, you could try going to a healthfood store and buying 100% pure psyllium husk (not in capsules but in a big bag). I've tried all the capsules and things like Metamucil, and the ONLY thing that has helped me is to take the real stuff! It's cheap, too. Like $5.00 for a HUGE bag that lasts a year! Good luck!

I am going to go see if I can get some psylium husk tomorrow! I just recently had a terrible "potty time". I have 2 cysts on my ovaries cousing pain so I have had to take Anaprox and I also have had bronchitis which I had to take cough med for. I think the 2 together was the culprit. Oh it was terrible. First time I had that much blood. Not a huge amount but enough to scare me. I too like you guys always have way more BMs during my period and they are very uncomfortable. I have had bowel issues for along time that the drs were not sure what was causing them. Now after I have read on this forum I am sure it is the Endo. I told my husband " these women are exactly like me!! They have the same problems as me. This is the first time I ever heard of anyone having my sympoms. It is kind of a relief to read thier stories." But anyway all the straining has got my ovaries so sore plus the other area. I wanna take a pain reliever but I am scared I might stop back up again.

I feel your pain! Before my surgery, I never wanted to be constipated because I feared what my ovaries would start doing pain wise. I made myself green smoothies a lot, and this helped, but it also made me go to the bathroom a lot! I guess that's better than not at all. Anyway, I have also, as long as I can remember, always gone to the bathroom a lot during my period as well. I just thought it was a normal thing, but now you've got me wondering about the endo. Although, I don't think I've had endo. as long as I've had bowl problems, but who knows. I'm not sure anymore.

I am reading here that more then one of you get the runs when on your cycle - me I get constipated and can not go for days! With my endo being on my siatic nerve, so my area down there is very sensitive I have bad BM's too - when they happen. I have increased my stool softeners to try and help this - some times it works and some times it does not.

Hi! I'm new to this forum and have not been officially diagnosed with endo yet. I'm a work in progress... I have several questions, which I will figure out where to post, but this one specifically relates to bowel movements. I do have painful bowel movements, but aside from abdominal cramping and shooting pains in the rectum, I have another sensation that I am curious to know if anyone else can relate to. Before and after I have a bowel movement, I have extreme pelvic heaviness...it almost feels as if everything is about to fall out of me (not necessarily through the rectum...just anywhere down there!). I can tell that I will have a bowel movement soon when I start to experience this heaviness, and, unfortunately, the feeling lingers for a while after the bm as well. This feeling is really disconcerting!! Also after a bm, I also get burning in the vaginal area and a generalized burning type pain in my entire pelvic region. Does anyone else here ever experience this heavy, falling out feeling with bm's - or any of these burning sensations? TIA! ~Andrea

So I just got quite the scare.... For the last month or so, I've been pooping a lot, 3 or 4 times a day, and I've been quite gassy. First off, is this normal? Then, today, there was blood in the stool. I'm really scared. I happen to be going to the doctor tomorrow to get a depo lupron shot, so I'm going to mention it, but I just had a lap 2 months ago, which found endo on the bowels, but we cleaned it all out, so that really shouldn't be the problem, right? Unless its grown back? but with the lupron.....
See why I'm scared and confused?? Ugh. endo sucks

Hi, Some people open their bowels once a day, once every other day or several times a day. I found that while I was on GnRH analogue injections, the frequency of my bowel movements increased to 4 or 5 times a day instead of the usual once or twice. It's due to the lowered oestrogen level. Regarding the blood in your motion: it's not necessarily due to endometriosis...it MAY be something else. You do need to have it checked out, though. As you've been opening your bowels more than usual, the bleeding might have happened because the rectum is busier than usual and you perhaps have a small tear (fissure). You could also have more blood vessels in the anus than usual, or some haemorrhoids. There are other causes of bleeding from the bowel, too. Best go to see your doctor, who will most likely ask to to give a stool sample to check for traces of blood and also want to do a quick, painless rectal examination to feel for anything obvious and perhaps also take a blood sample to check your haemoglobin level.

Agree with PD there! I found that when I stuck to a very healthy nutritious diet, I was um, nedding to poop as often as I ate. And they were always healthy poops so I wasn't worried. I was also gassy due to certain veg I was eating. However a last wek I ate something that didn't agree with me, and cos I was going quite frequently, even though the stool was soft it did cause some bleeding, which supports the idea that frequency can sometimes cause a little bleeding. Go get it checked it out, cos you will find out what it is and more importantly it can rule out anything even more serious than an endo invasion

For the past...oh gosh.... maybe 4-5 years I have been having very painful bowel movements during mentration. I always figured it wasn't really my bowels that hurt but my pelvic area since it is so close together. While I am on my period I tend not to go the the bathroom because of the pain, I have literally been in tears when I do, so I just avoid it as much as possible. I have never mentioned this to my dr. but now after reading everyones comments maybe I should. I had a lap in march 2006 where they found the endo, and no comment was made that it was near me colon. Is that pain associated with endo on the colon? It almost feels like a am passing knives.... Yuck... just thinking about it makes me cringe.

First off I HATE ENDO! Second It's so cruel that all I'm able to do for it ATM is take pain meds cause those are not helping my bowels! I hardly ever go and the other day something upset my stomach and it was like .... horrible... i swear i had every kind of sh*t there is! And it bought stabbing pain the whole time where i thought i might puke as well..
And another thing ^_^ Andrea i have never experienced that after a BM sometimes i get burning pain in my pelvic region where it feels like an "Indian burn" on my tubes.
Maybe the BM your having is pushing on the endo making it more inflamed? Since all that stuff is right there..just a thought.

Guys!!!!!! This is amazing!!!! I have found that eating at least one stalk of celery (unstrung--fibers intact) a day gives even better results than I got from psyllium husk!!! Organic celery with even better fiber gives even better results!!!! I'm in such shock! My mom tried it, and it worked for her, too!
haha! I sound like an infomercial!
Seriously. Other people try it. I wanna' know if it works for others!

Ooo, I may just have to try this. I'll tell my Mom to try it too as she's so sick of prunes.
