Do you have that heated one hels? I didn't realise your period was so soon, you might as well get it out. I'm so excited! My brain is ticking over so slowly that after 2 weeks of daft pain I've realised I can have it all sorted with a TeNS. Ha Helen you're so caring that this news doesn't surprise me!

No not heated, just the electrodes. I forgot about it actually, worst day of period has passed now. I kept running out of cash and didn't get round to it x

That's really sweet, and definitely something I should have done myself before now. Think it says a bit about me if a friend considered buying it for me! Its arrived and its relatively big compared to my little old period pain one which attached discreetly onto the waist of my underpants. This is 3x3 inches, maybe 4x4 and a good 2 inches deep. Has pads underneath as if to be sat on a surface while in use. The extra pads I ordered are used so I'm deeply unhappy as I'm something of a germaphobe to be honest and this is a trusted chemist in the UK. Sent a complaint off to that effect. The tens package itself was new and unused and properly sealed so, excited about using it. I'll report back tomorrow! So happy :-) It works great! Premature update.

I ordered what I assume to be a mini-TENS from Groupon! Unfortunately, it sold out already but here's the link in case anyone's interested in looking it up full-price: www.groupon.com/deals/gg-pulse-massagerI'm curious to see how it'll be. I don't expect it to be as strong as the electro-stim I had at PT, but if it helps a bit on my bad day or two, I'll take it!

After reading all the reports here, I selected an inTENSity Tens interferential unit. I tried both the TENS side and the interferential side. I found that while the TENS option did help with lower back pain, it did not help as much with endo pain. But the interferential option helped with endo pain. It helped as much or more than my heating pad. What I've found is that the best result is from all 4 electrodes being used with 2 on the front and 2 on the back. Has anyone else tried an interferential unit?

TENS and IFC (interferential) are two different kinds of current. It used to be that TENS was the only home unit available, but IFC is what we use more in rehab and tends to have a more lasting effect. To use the IFC for the most benefit you should always use four electrodes to make an X pattern (so the same-color leads are diagonal from each other). let me know if that made sense.

So, if I'm following you, red wire on front right with corresponding red wire on back left. Then black wire on front left with corresponding black wire on back left? Is that correct?

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a TENS machine. Are the people who commented on this thread still using theirs?
