So I epically failed my biochemistry exam. But since the majority of the class failed it, my F curves to a C. My overall grade in the class is still a B, but just now a low B and I have to be careful on my final exam now. I know that's "passing" but I'm still pretty bummed out. I'm trying to stay positive because I have been doing extremely well in my other classes. Biochem is the only B I have. I guess I can't be mad about that, but I am bummed about my failed exam Oh well, can't win em' all!

Well, at least you're past it, and it least you weren't the only one that felt it was really tough.

I once epically failed one of my final exams for my MSc - but on the course element I had the highest grade in the class! Each part was 50/50, so overall, I passed. I was GUTTED that I did so bad in the exam (it was Accountancy - I'm not a numbers person) but I passed that element of the course an I got my Masters degree. 13 years down the line I have career that's going places - that one failed exam is COMPLETELY irrelevant. Well done you on doing so well on everything else x

What do you call the person who finishes last in medical school?
DOCTOR
LOL. I know what you're saying Helen. I've failed so many exams that they don't even matter anymore. One day, this one won't matter either. I think I'm past it now. I can't be good at everything and I admit that biochemistry isn't my forte and I should just be happy with a B.

I know that feeling when you just get so frustrated with not being able to do better. BUT, its not over until the last grade is in. I thought I was going to fail this last test because I had two in a row 10 hour day clinicals and then I worked as well. I haven't done as well as I know I can on any of my classes. Its been super frustrating. I'm really ready for a little semester break aren't you?

Wow.. I am so unhappy. Been in excruciating pain the past few days. Started my period yesterday, unexpectedly, while wearing grey jeans. On campus. Bled through them. Yesterday afternoon I called Redwine's office to get a prescription for the pain. He prescribed Tramadol. I took it last night before bed, got a little nauseous, trembly, and super itchy. Woke up this morning with unbearable headache and extreme nausea, and have been vomiting since 8am. Today I missed an interview for an internship I desperately wanted, and at this rate will also be missing the pac 12 championship game, wich also happens to be my last game ever in the student section. I have been waiting all week for this day and this is what I get.

Ugh Jess that sounds absolutely awful. I am so sorry! Do you think you are allergic to the Tramadol and that is what is causing the nausea and vomiting? Maybe you could call Dr. Redwine's office and they could recommend something else for the pain you are dealing with? I am so sorry you are dealing with this. It really isn't fair! *big hugs*

I called them and they're closed until Monday, and his on-call doc is in surgery all day today, so some random doc of theirs said all he could do was offer me a prescription for anti-nausea, as a suppository... I don't have the guts for that. I just can't stick things up my butt. Haha. But I'm feeling better now that I've slept an hour ish and I think I might be able to still go see my friends before the game. At least part of my day will happen still

Hey Jess, I know that they are awful, but I wanted to let you know that those suppositories do work. If you can get it up there, it will help. I promise.
So sorry you're going through this.

Aww poor Jess! I'm sorry! If you're totally freaked out about the suppository, I wonder if they could give you sub-lingual zofran. Have you ever taken zofran for nausea? It's just a small tablet that dissolves under your tongue. That stuff literally kept me functioning for months. LOL
I hope you make it to the game!!

So sorry Jess, that sounds awful Tramadol makes me feel like that for the first few tablets and then the nausea eases, but I don't think it sounds like you want to stick it out! Hope you got to your friends and the game!

I second Jenna, zofran is great and got me thorugh some nastiness with antibiotics. Can you reschedule the interview, since you had "the flu"? I hope the weekend is salvagable.
Im relly sorry, Jess. I wish the female body would send some warning when you are about to heavily bleed- maybe a strong ringing in your ears like a "get to a freaking bathroom ASAP before you ruin your day" siren.
