we are pretty broke so my hubby brought some ice cream up to celebrate, while he was on shift. It came at a very needed time!

Seconded Rust, love to hear all the good news I got a new job today So very excited as it's something I will enjoy so much. It's the same money rather than a bit more, but that's not what is important right now, it's more about putting my life in place. My work were very shocked and literally begged me to stay. They offered me more money but I pointed out that when I was very ill before, they actually said they wanted to get rid of me and then gave me a pay cut in the same meeting. Now they will be hiring two new members of staff, bringing in a contractor (for the IT work I do) and splitting two people's jobs in half to absorb my role. Seriously, and they wonder why I want to leave!!!! |

That's so exciting, Gem! I remember how awful they treated you, so I'm glad you reminded them of that. I hope they would now think twice if someone else was in a similar position. Here's hoping they new place is exactly what you need!

A couple of months ago I called the specialists in the area to find out what the charges would be (since the doctors are out-of-network). I left my info with one of them, and today I got a call saying that they'd seen a patient who works for the insurance company I have, and that she would be able to get coverage for patients/potential patients who have this insurance. It's not definite (there has to be authorization), but the possibility that I may be able to see a specialist and have it covered just blows my mind.   |

My good news: my 2 year old niece is in town! My sis and family arrived today, we had lunch, and they just spent a few hours at my house after work. I'm so sad that I don't get to spend more time with my niece, but we certainly did a lot of catching up today! I'm beaming from ear to ear. |

Woot, woot, my period started today and I didn't know it!! Just 12 days into my super-clean-eating Whole60, and besides the carb cravings the past day or two, there was barely a sign!! Woke up this morning and there it was with the very faintest of light cramps, like it used to be when I was on the pill!!
The last few months, I've been getting a tell-tale headache a day or two before - just unbearable, coupled with some extreme brain fog. When I saw the gyn two weeks ago, she explained that was a drop in estrogen and there was nothing she could do unless I wanted to go back on the pill. I was tempted to go to my integrative doc for some bio-identical estrogen instead. Ha ha, was she wrong! Fingers crossed today and tomorrow aren't so bad, but based on how I feel at the moment, I can't possibly see how they can be!
