My semester at college is going GREAT, despite missing classes due to my lap. All my professors were really awesome and understanding about missed days and asked how I was doing after. So far, maintaining solid As and Bs, good news for my GPA

Quill, that is awesome. Congratulations!!!
And Semi, let me know if you need to borrow a road bike...how tall are you? I have a beautiful ancient roadbike ( I mean, it's a piece of sh*t really, but I love it) if you want to borrow it, can get down to DC, and are short enough. My endo has kept me off of that bike for years....maybe post surgery it will be better.

As, thanks Rust, that's such a nice offer. I'll keep that in mind (I run about 5' 7'' these days). Not sure when I'll get to DC in the near future but I'd love to go!

I got a letter from my hospital today. I had applied for financial aid for help with my portion that the insurance didn't cover from surgery, and they forgave ALL of it! Not only did they forgive that, but they also forgave my ER visit portions, and some other tests etc. SO SO happy, I think I'm going to frame the letter!

Great news! That is such a relief! Money (or lack therof) should never deter anyone from getting health care.

Yeah, it was a huge relief! I'm very glad! I posted this for a two-fold purpose. Firstly, it's just great news and we all need good news for a change, and secondly, I want other women who read this and are having financial difficulty or no insurance coverage to realize that it is possible to get a hospital to help you. You have to just do your homework. Some of the bills that were forgiven were from a time when I did not have any coverage at all. So, there is hope to get quality medical care, even if you're financial situation is less than ideal.
