I love you guys. Thanks for the kind words, and especially, thanks for listening to my rants about that place. Gem and Cherry, I hope your work situations improve, as well - you both deserve to have a workplace free of hostility and harassment, and I hope you get it.

Hear Hear. Honestly girls having endo and constantly settling for less than we need and deserve on the health side of things is bad for us as then in other areas of our lives we are pre-conditioned to 'settle' for less than we need and deserve in other areas, like work. I really do feel that this year with endo has set me up to be far too accepting of unfair work situations, crappy management policies, overly punitive repurcussions (for being ill) and we are all far too concerned with making sure we downplay our serious illnesses so as not to lose our jobs! When will the day come when we no longer constanly apologize for being seriously ill.....

OH that'll be the day! I would love to not have to apologize for being sick. It's not like I ask to be this way!

I think I kicked the work issue. If my boss refers to it as a stomach problem the next time it comes up I might bust a blood vessel though haha. He knows the unknown variable is my back as well, how dumb. Maybe he's embarrassed about knowing too much. He's a healthy person and was clearly freaked out with the tramadol/exorcist re-enactment, even though I stayed relatively calm. My attitude last year to being sick kinda took a nosedive so I try to do nice things when I'm glued to my seat with endo issues. The cats have been great except for all the fur Also, despite the stress, I have a bunch of Jiminy Cricket's sat on my Pinnochio shoulders. Finally got my letter for a pain clinic appt, and I'm happily busy planning and working from home on my days off just now. So this just a rave for small graces and good friends

I think I picked the washing machine I want (all of my overtime pay and spare cash this month) and I have my pain clinic appt in 2 weeks. Little things off my mind. I was so stressed about being possibly ripped off by a repair specialist, and having to deal with an aging washing machine. Against the advice of my ex's mum, I'm getting a washer dryer, I live in a 2nd floor flat and I wash almost every day so it makes sense. The brand is a good one, and I'm excited about putting towels in the dryer just so they're warm after a long bath!

Bath robes come out lush if you tumble dry them. I have a 2-in-1 and I've had it for 6 years. Rumbles a bit, but works!

That's good enough for me then, if it hasn't broken down then that's enough testimonial. And this time I will not cancel my insurance. I already learned a while back to check my pockets for kirby grips and check my bras for wayward underwires. Cos my washing machine last needed repair during my last op, sods law that it happens then!

It's gone wonky a couple of times but I had cover. Then I found out if it completely broke down I'd get arounf £50 towards the cost of the new one and figured I'd be better off saving the money I was spending on insurance each month towards a new one, when it completely goes. If I bought a new one I'd definitely have some kind of cover for when the warranty runs out.

It really is the small graces and good friends that make life better! A warm towel in the morning and knowing you have a reliable washer and dryer makes me happy for you Cherry:)

I'm jealous that you guys have washer/dryers in one over there - I'd die for one of those! I have a washer and dryer in my tiny little kitchen and they take up so much honkin' space...

Karen I can't tell you how happy I am now that I've decided on it, I don't have any seperate space so the clothes horses are a messy nightmare. My kitchen is the size of a shoe-box and we had to get a small cooker to accommodate the stupidly small space they designed for it. Keri I'm so excited about it, such a housewife I am! I'll be sad to see this one go, it kicks butt but the eletrics in my olden home murdered it. I'll be sure to get a surge proof socket for this new one, and insurance!
