I'm sorry Karen. That feeling is not only frustrating, but disappointing. Big hugs. I'm glad we all have a place here where we can vent and know we will be understood. I hope all the things you are doing will help even out your energy levels.

Semicoln made a great point - you're trying. You have the energy to try - a few months back you didn't even have that. So you did half the run? Ok, you DID HALF THE RUN!! AWESOME!! You keep telling other people to listen to their bodies, don't over do it...I'm sorry everything packed up on you, but it's amazing that you can even get your ass to the gym now. Big steps forward, the rest will come, in time. You didn't get sick overnight, you won't get to 100% overnight. Take what you can but don't expect too much too soon xxxx

oh man--another one of those bike organization days. the big fundraiser for my husband's bike non-profit was last night, 8 - midnight, and then clean up. We got home around 3:30, after hoisting half-drunk kegs of beer and heavy bike racks and etc. into a uhaul I'm pretty much immobile today. It's not a very nice emotion, but looking at everyone else there last night who was able to do so much more and who I am sure are not feeling like I am feeling today, that jealousy does kick in. Sometimes it's hard to see someone 20 years older than I am so much more physically able and not having to make the same calculations of " can I do this and if so how much will I hurt" or a trade off of "I'd like to do X but I know that I'll pay for it for a long time."
However, the flip side of that is that I did get through the night and was able to help with all the clear up. That's not an achievement for most people, but it's sort of like climbing Everest for endo girls!

I hear ya - it's such a trade off on how much can I do and am I willing to suffer the next day ratio! I get that many times in the summer with yard work, if I do too much it really affects me the next day!

I sorta broke it.... I have really been stepping up my work outs. I bought a 12 lb weighted vest and have been using that for my 1 hour cardio workouts. I am working out 5x a week and then weekends I am bike riding and going for longer hikes using 3lb hand weights. My energy levels are great, I feel good working out but my innards, not so much. For almost 2 weeks now I have had some breakthru, very very light and mostly brown but still there. I have tried my 8 advil per day trick as told by my gyno for breakthru, it works for afew days and then seems to come back even though I'm being consistent with the advil - supposed to do this for 3-5 days. I was reading that working out can also mess around with your hormones and that could be a cause of the breakthru - or....it could just be my "normal". I take the pill continual, have for almost 2 years now w/o any break per my doctor so some breakthru is expected given that treatment plan. I'm just wondering what it is exactly with working out that triggers endo to be irritated? I noticed the biking seems to make it a little worse, probably because I'm really working hard to get up some inclines and seems to really exert alot on my body. Anyone else experience this when you work out too much? I feel really good otherwise, very energized, not tired or anything like that.

Before the surgery I had the same problem with riding the bike. I would spot. I do not why, but the same thing happened. I hope you are feeling ok and no pain.

Well it started 2 weeks ago when I added 10 minutes of jogging to the end of my cardio workouts to make it 1 hour total cardio. Then last weekend we bought the new bikes and it seems any stress for going up an incline seems to aggrivate things. I think it's just due to an overall increase in my workout routine. I've been really hot lately almost like hot flashes - maybe my hormones are a little wacky right now and that's causing it as well, just brainstorming here. Well, I hope it goes away soon - I'm getting annoyed by it already. I just had afew days of minor cramping, the rest of the time there is no pain at all, just the brown dark stuff but again, it's very little. I guess it could also be a polyp inside - I have gotten those in the past and during my annual my gyno has just plucked them off. I see her mid September so I will def have my list of questions for her and that will be one of them to check.

I had my hormone levels checked back in December when all of this started.I thought I might have been going through early menopause with the brown spotting. It came back fine. It may be worth getting the blood work done.

I went to a carnival at the elementary school my church volunteers at and was wrangled into helping with one of the games like Pogs and face painting. I was painting faces for over 4 hours in a very uncomfortable metal chair. My entire body is so sore I can barely move. My shoulder and neck are so sore from painting so many kids and my legs and butt are sore from the metal chair. I tried foam rolling and a hot bath but it has not helped.
I have to stop myself from helping other people too much or I'll break again.
