That sounds great! I know you might not be excited about another surgery, but this team sounds very motivated to help you. Are you ok with the plan?

Kimmie I am so glad to hear they are going to work to help you! I'm sorry about having another surgery though! How are you feeling with all of this? It's a lot to take in. Are you ok?

Thank you guys. I would not have been able to keep fighting to get the answers if I did not have your support. I knew something was wrong down by the hole and the pain is so bad. You have all been an amazing support system to me and I can not thank you enough for that. I appreciate every bit of advice you have all given me because being so new to all this I do not have a clue. You have all helped me continue to fight for answers and help me not to fall apart.
I was starting to think twice about having another lap done so quickly after a few points Karen pointed out to me I decided to think twice and have a full discussion with my new gyno. Then when my Gyno called and said surgery needed to be done on the surgery track from the last surgery and she could do the lap at the same time I figured I am going to be in there anyway. I do not have a choice on the surgery track it has to be done I might as well have her clean out any new issues then she said she would do the mirena then. I am terrified of going for another surgery after all these issues from the one in May. I keep trying to remind myself it's not the same Dr. I have a great team of surgeons that are even willing to work together and they are not affiliated at all. But I can't help but to be scared. She is going to call me when they have a date so right now I do not know when it will be. I think I am making the right decision to get the lap at the same time it seemed to make sense to me what do you think. I hate second guessing myself.
Thank you all again XOXO

If they're going to open you up anyway, I'd want the lap, too, to see what's going on inside! I'm curious if they'll find anything other than adhesions. If you have some reservations about another surgery, perhaps you could discuss your concerns with your surgeons if only for some peace of mind. I'd be nervous after the experience you had, too.
Hope you get a date soon!

That is why I went for 4 oppinions on the surgery track. I am terrified of surgery now and wanted to make sure it was needed and that there wasnt another way. They probably think I am nuts for that, but I do not want to take any chances. My Gyno is going to sit with me once they know the date because she knows how affraid I am and she said she wants to address any questions or concerns I have. I am so glad I found her.

I think they totally understand your hesitation on another surgery, it is totally justified. Your gyn seems in tune with that. I think having both surgeons is the right thing to do, and if the gyn can clear up some things in there it can save another surgery down the road (or give you lots of time to figure out how you feel without the infection & scar tissue). These docs seem great. Two of my surgeries were with multiple surgeons (1st with colon surg & gyn, other with endo spec and thoracic surg) and both worked out very well.

It is quite understandable why you are so afraid! You had such a bad experience with your other surgery that no wonder why you don't want to jump into another one. What I find when I'm faced with a decision is to try and make a list of the pros and cons of having the surgery vs. not having the surgery. When you put it all down on paper, the decision becomes very clear. Right now you have a lot of feelings and fears that keep you going back and forth from yes/no, scared/confident, and you may be feeling all of this at every moment of every day. That's just so stressful! When you write it all down, there is no jumping back and forth because it's right in front of you and put very simply. It really helped me a lot when I was faced having to pick between two surgeons. When I wrote it all down in the pro/con list, I kinda did a facepalm slap in the face because the answer was so clear that I wondered why I was so indecisive before.
It's also good that you'll have the chance to sit with your doctor and share your concerns with her. I think that will also bring you some peace of mind. Your new doctors sound really awesome and I really do think they will take good care of you especially knowing what you went through before.

Karen,
Why you are not a Dr. I do not know!!!! I should be paying you my co pay LOL. You were right again. Surgery on hold for 6 months. They want to try pelvic therapy and the mirena. They think through pelvic message they may be able to break up the gas in the surgery track as well as the scar tissue. They want to try this before opening me up. I actually feel better with this. You said this to me last week.
I feel if there is a way to avoid it I would rather try that first even if it is 6 months. At least I know they are trying everything first.

Let's call that a coincidence! I'm glad you feel good about this option. It's nice to know that you have something to try, and if that doesn't work, you know you have a back-up plan. Do they have a therapist in mind that's good with this kind of stuff? I'd be happy to do some research for a good one in your area if they don't!

I feel so much better with this option. They do have someone in mind I do not remember the name I am going this week to go over the plan and do the mirena. I feel so much better just having some answers. Thank you so much Karen for offering to look up someone.
