My GI doc biopsied my ulcers for H.pylori. Everything Helen said was absolutely correct including the doctor being an ass. LOL.

So I'm joining many of you in being negative on celiac disease (blood test), though with all of Pretty's posts on the horrors of wheat and Jenaya's experience, I'm fairly leery of wheat anyway!
After my experience last month, I've started tracking my bowel issues more with my cycle and I'm pretty convinced that the bleeding was endo-related. That and other issues (mucus in my stool--I was even crapping pure mucus the other day. sorry for that unpleasant information) all correlate with my days of endo pain and at teh same time in my cycle (the last 2 weeks before I start my period). I had a little bit of bowel bleeding yesterday, and it's all about the same time.

Well I can now add my experience to this thread! Hooray!
I have a clinical diagnosis of endo (awaiting lap in August) and get pretty constipated from my pain meds. Since I have almost daily pain (increasing over the last few months) and have gone back to work full time, I am taking pain meds almost every day. Bowel movements are painful over the area of my left ovary, but occasionally I do get blood in my stool. Today was one of those days. Very painful BM, then a bit of blood on the tissue.
Since I'm not sure where the blood is coming from (it's bright red, so it can't be too far up), I'm going to try some stool softeners to see if they make the stool easier/less painful to pass. Can't wait until surgery identifies where my adhesions are!
In the meantime, I hate, hate, hate this disease and am trying very hard not to hate my body by extension. :-(

I've started bleeding from my bowels again. I have my period right now and it's worse, but it also happened mid cycle when I was on holiday. There's quite a lot. My endo symptoms have gone into overdrive recently and I think it's because I've been having more sex. My sex drive is through roof so hormones must be going crazy. I really think they're linked. I'm hoping it will stop or get a bit better when my period stops but it's a little scary. There's not just a little on the tissue, it's colouring the water in the loo :-(

Sometimes iron can be normal but ferritin is low. I have been thru it all not sure you can get GI to check that but if you can ask. I am worried about you darling....

Hi, I also bleed from my bowels and believe me I know how much it can hurt. Normally it is a few hours before I start my period. I get really bad pains in my pelvis area and I constantly have to go to the washroom. Unfortunately it is blood. That is always a sure sign my period will arrive in a few hours. I spoke to my Dr. and I do have endo in my bowels. Joanne

I have rectal bleeding sometimes during ovulation too--could that be what was going on while you were on holiday?
I'm sorry, Helen. I hope it gets better soon.
