The mean looking sling? Where it looks like their getting the wedgie of a life time? And their little legs are being strangled? No. But I'd very much like to keep them snuggled in a pouch or even a wrap.

Mean looking sling? LOL! Baby Bjorn is mean and will give the baby back problems! I mean REAL slings. Slings come in all forms. Pouches, wraps, loops, etc. I have 2. 1) "Loopi" loop sling www.yourbabycarrier.com/loopi.html 2) "Minsari" wrap www.minsari.com/

Ok. Minsari has some awesome products but the background music on their site is a little disturbing.

I made two wrap carriers yesterday. I purchased 5 ft 60 inches wide cotton weave, cut it at 20 inch intervals the long way and ended up with 1 wrap 5 ft by 20 inches and 1 wrap 5 ft by 30 inches. I would have ended up with 3 wraps 5 ft by 20 inches each if I knew how to cut in a straight line.
The loopi looks wonderful - I wonder if they sell them in the US.
Ouchy - Maybe you can add wrap carriers "minsaris" in different colors/paterns to your cloth sanitary pad business. Mine was a no sew that's why I used the T-Shirt cotton weave because it doesn't ravel so my color/patern options were limited, but with your sewing machine your options are endless.

BB! That is awesome that you made one yourself! I'm going to try my crack at one after I finish making my nusring shawl. However, I'm scared to sell them due to liability reasons! I'm sure some wacko would put the baby in wrong and try to sue me! LOL! Yah. How paranoid am I? I have some cute canvas that I am going to make two pouches out of. I think I'll just give the second one to a friend I trust. It's sad that I'm paranoid. Gosh.

LOL yeah I guess it would be easier to sue you for someone's baby taking a nose dive than for someone putting on a pad the wrong way....... You are not paranoid just think about the lady who sued McDonalds because she burned her legs trying to put sugar in her coffee while driving at the same time.
I'm planning on giving one away as a baby shower gift to this girl I know who'd been struggling with infertility for years. She's finally preggers and I was thinking about making one for her out of a really nice patern and having my mom sew it up so that it doesn't unravel and making a nice little storage bag for it out of the same material.

The loopi looks like it would be more comfortable. I would think the ends that hang down would get annoying though. They are pretty colors though.

Oh man! My Natalie doesn't seem to like being carried in the wrap. I wish that I would have known about this when she was teeny tiny and nursing, then she would have gotten used to it. It's so comfortable, only one problem - When I put it on and start to put her in my shirt starts riding up and everyone can see my big belly. My mother-in-law saw it when I was showing off the wrap and trying to put baby in. She made a comment and I told her that my belly has always been big but hiding under my shirt.

BB, make sure she is fed and possibly drowsy before you put her in. It helps a LOT! Yah. I've had trouble with the shirt thing, too. With my loop sling, I am able to pull one part down where it looks like it is part of my shirt. I can't breastfeed in it yet. LOL. I'll have to wait until she is strong enough to hold my boob up herself!

I'll have to try your tip. We have a trip to Guatemala coming soon and if I can get her used to being in the wrap it would help soooooo much. Try adjusting the wrap to where she is lower and has to raise her little head up to nurse. I read that somewhere online. I also read that you can do the football hold in the wrap if you know how to tie it, althought with your daughter's digestive problems this may not be a good one for her.
