Don't freak out, the fact that you are trying is great. And remember food is not the enemy! We use such negative terms about diets when we "screw up" like "cheating" but really, you ate something today that maybe you'll avoid eating tomorrow. Please don't make yourself feel baldly about it.

thanks hells looking now lol hubby said he'll get me one as an anniversary present lol HAHA this makes me want to revive our thread "You know you have endo when...." You know you have endo when you ask for a tens machine for your wedding anniversary. LOL! Hahaha!!! Oh my goodness, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I got my cheap (like $8 on Amazon cheap) TENS unit in today and I was searching the forum and ran across this post and it reminded me of my husband. He told me that he needed to go shopping for my birthday present, which is on October 25th. I told him not to worry about it, I didn't need anything. Then he told me that I needed a TENS unit that had a manual in English, not Chinese, and that's what I was getting for my birthday

Yuck yuck, double yuck. So I’m eating my salad at work, it was from a container of 50/50 organic mix and I’m digging away in the bowl and there was a dead grasshopper!!!! BARF!!!!! I’m so turned off of lunch now! Gag. I guess this is “normal” and to be expected in packaged lettuce items but still…..why me? I think I’ll have soup the rest of the week…..

I'm going to go out on a limb here...dead grasshoppers in salad are NOT normal I've had packaged salads and the last thing I would expect to find are insects!!! Stick to soup for a bit, it's safer

Gross! I think there are restaurants in nyc that serve insects though. Chocolate covered, bbq'd, you name it.

ha ha. Well, I'm not that mad about it, given the nature of organic lettuce, it didn't shock me. What I'm annoyed about is I called the company and left a message and then I went on their web site and sent them the UPC and lot code. They replied back tonight with this big long reason why the insect got in, whatever....but no offer to replace the product or give me some vouchers for the hassle. I emailed her back and was like uh - what are you going to do from a customer service stand point to take care of me? I bought the biggest container since I have a salad daily so since I just bought it, that cost $8, hubby tossed it out tonight so that's a waste and not that I expect much but you'd think they'd offer to replace that container plus give me another one free! yeah, she's offering to send me $10. Unreal. I emailed her back AGAIN adn was like lady, there was a DEAD INSECT in my salad, $10, really? I'm more annoyed now over their lack of customer service than finding the stupid bug. I never complain to companies but come on people, uh, take care of your customers! Guess I won't be buying from this company again if they don't take care of me, I'd rather buy the dominicks organics than give them my business if she doesn't make this right. ugh.....

Short update, they contacted me and are reimbursing me and sending me some vouchers as well so I'm happy. All is right now!

So apparently if a woman goes to her doctor asking for help for a low sex drive, hormone testing is not covered. However, if a man goes to his doctor with the same problem, his hormone testing IS covered. That's seriously some f**king bullsh*t.

I f'ing hate the disparity between men's and women's health issues. You never hear anyone quibbling about insurance not covering erectile dysfunction meds but all this garbage about not covering birth control is beyond me. And the so-called "women's Viagra" can't make it off the ground. Argh!!!

I'm assuming they won't test them because what are they going to do to treat it? There's no drug to 'treat' a low sex drive (other than bio-identical hormones, which typically aren't covered by insurance, or HRT, which most doctors wouldn't even think of unless you're hormonal). But, yeah, a little blue pill can 'fix' some men's issues, and there's even a name-brand 'drug' to supplement testosterone for men, even though compounded versions have been around for forever. Makes me sick!

So, my (now-former) gyn. had always wanted me to see a gastroenterologist. I put it off because I didn't feel it was necessary, but finally ended up going because gyn. didn't want to talk surgery otherwise. The gastro. ordered an MRI (which showed nothing), and today a letter came stating that it wouldn't be covered after all because it wasn't "medically necessary." So why approve it in the first place?
