I think that's a really good option, glad you're looking into it. Might as well get an expert in there while you're at it. I hope you're able to get a quick response!

He's from the DC area! or at least, worked here a while.
How are you feeling today, Paint? How is the constipation? Do you have any more information? Sending hugs!

I'm feeling about the same. Still in pain and uncomfortable, but I have pain medicine that is helping some. Constipation is a little better. I don't have any new information. I'm going to talk with my OBGYN tomorrow and see what she thinks. Then I'll have to talk with a regular surgeon too and come up with some sort of plan. Thanks for the hugs. I'm just trusting that this will all get figured out.

Well, I hope you're comfortable enough until something can be done. And I hope your gyn is helpful, can give you some insight. Let us know how it goes?

So I was trying to scope the reviews on your prospective doc and found a cool article on him (doesn't help with his experience with endo, but he sounds like a very interesting guy!): www.andover.edu/About/Newsroom/TheMagazine/AlumniProfiles/Pages/RubenAlvero.aspxI noticed it because I know the school, it's a very good private high school. Good luck talking with your obgyn, I hope with a few conversations you can come up with a plan that feels right to you.

Thanks for sharing that article. He does sound like an interesting man. I have a call in to his office tomorrow to see what could be done. We will see what happens. I'm just ready to start talking to people so I can put a plan in place. I don't do very well without plans. Fortunately my friend is coming to pick me up and take me to dinner down in Denver. That will help keep my mind of off things. Thanks for trying to find some reviews about him. That means a lot to me. I found him because he came recommended from this site. Him and one other Dr. were listed in the Colorado area.

I have an apt. tomorrow with my OBGYN and another apt. with Dr. Alvero on Friday. The plan is starting to be put in motion. My Mom's coming down today too to be with me so that always helps. I feel a little better today. Maybe this is what needed to happen in order for me to get the help and treatment I need. I'm hoping after this is all over. I'll be a healthier happier person and I can live my life once again.

Yeah, I'm impressed you got appointments so quickly! Is your gyn on board with you getting a two-fer when it comes to the surgery? Whatever the case, I'm proud of you for lighting a fire under everyone and getting the ball rolling! I suspect the surgery will at least point you in the right direction so you can recover. Hugs!

I'm so glad that you got the appointment so quickly. I'm really happy about that. It's so hard to take action when you're not feeling well and are struggling with feeling out of options. I respect you so much for making this effort! Will be so eager to hear about the appointment on Friday.

I saw my OBYGN today and she is completely on board for me to have a laporscopy as well. She said she's only seen one other woman besides me in 10 years who has experienced such pain from endo. She's recommended others in her practice to Dr. Alvero and hasn't had any complaints thus far so that put my mind at ease at least a little bit.
I'll feel better on Friday once I get to meet and talk with him. Thanks for all your support ladies. I think I needed this to give me a swift kick in the ass to start getting motivated about my health once again. I've been so depressed lately that I think I started to stop caring. This whole situation has empowered me and I look forward brighter days ahead.

Hi Nicolle! I stopped by your thread, I've been thinking about you, when I see your posts on facebook I want to check on you, and feel so bad that I haven't because I've been so caught up in everything on my end! I'm sorry for everything you've been dealing with as of late but REALLY happy that it sounds like you'll be getting a lap! Also happy that you're feeling empowered again, I love when that happened to me Hugs!!
