Hi girls. I figured I would start my own thread since I am now in the process of getting my other health issues figured out. I went to the Gastroenterologist this morning and he is running a bunch of tests to determine what is going on with me.
I have a colonoscopy scheduled for the 27th and my Mom is going to come down and take care of me while I go through the process of getting all that nasty liquid down.
At this point his hunch is either Chrons, IBS, or Ulcertive Colitis. he said he doesn't want to diagnose me until all the tests are back. I also have to give them a fecal sample which is going to be a bunch of fun.
I'm just ready to get some answers and get this behind me. I've been dealing with stomach bowel issues since my surgery and I'm ready to feel better. As of right now I'm on a medical leave of absence from my work for two weeks. If they find something more serious through my colonoscopy it could be longer.
I'll keep you all updated as I learn more.

Hey thank you for sharing. I'm intersted to hear what they find too!
I'm sorry you had to take leave off of work. My best friend has crohn's disease and she had a really hard time until she was diagnosed. She manages it pretty well now which I guess could be a silver lining for you. But, whatever the cause to your health problems, I just hope they find it soon. I think we all know how horrible the waiting game is.
Good luck with everything!

Thanks ladies.
I feel like I'm in good hands. My Dr. has been really kind. I broke down in his office this morning and he was really gentle and reassuring about everything. He knows what endo is so that makes it helpful too.
It's interesting taking time away from work because people always come out of the wood work saying they miss me and wish me well. That's exactly what happened when I had my surgery back in Aug. People at my job started to act like they cared.
Like pretty said I think it will be good for me to just rest and evaluate somethings in my life.

Paint - I hope you start to feel better soon once you get some answers. I know you and I have some similar health issues with the butt pain thing. Did you end up getting a tennis ball or racquet ball to use and roll around on the floor to help release the tight muscle? I'm sending well wishes your way! Seems like there are quite afew of us that will hopefully get some answers soon - we've sure been trying to get answers for awhile now it seems!

I got this foam thing I can roll around on from Target a couple weeks ago that helps me. I roll my hips on it too because that's something else that pretty consistently hurts.
I feel a little better today. Just trying to stay busy and keep my mind occupied.

I'm venting because I'm in excruciating pain right now. All the crying and stress of everything got to me tonight and I think it's making whatever I have worse. My stomach is killing me and the pain medication they gave me isn't really doing anything. The heating pad helps, but all of this is just driving me nuts.
I'm going to call my Dr. tomorrow and tell him that it's getting worse. I don't know if they can get me in sooner, but I don't know how much more of this pain I can take. It's stressing me out big time.

I wish they'd get you in sooner. It's sad that you have to suffer like this. I hope you got some rest at least

Paint - sorry if you've said this before but just wanted to know about how you manage day to day. So, are you on the endo diet (I seem to think you are)? Are you able to go to the bathroom or is this difficult? Does the pain get worse after eating or is it random?
I just wondered if you were able to pinpoint it to something as this is what I have managed to do, at least with food and the time of day etc. Just thought it may help if you knew this.
I hope you are getting some relief xx

I'm hanging in there. Still pretty miserable, but the pain has subsided a little bit. I did my fecal test today and got that to the Dr.'s. It will take three days for me to get the results back from that. Apparently my blood work is back, but I'm still waiting on the results for that. The lab technician was really rude to me so I talked to the receptionist about possibly getting my blood results back today so I can have a little peace of mind. I also let her know that the pain is getting worse so if there is a possibility I can get in for a colonscopy sooner I would like to.
I hate battling Dr.'s, but one thing can be said I'm a lot more assertive since my diagnosis with endo. If I don't hear from them soon I'm going to call them back and be that squeaky wheel. I would like to know something even if it's all your blood tests came back normal.
I just got done having a hot shower. Need to try to eat something and then get the rest of my paperwork faxed to my job. Thanks for all the kind words ladies. I'm feeling pretty miserable and scared. I just want this figured out ASAP.
