Well, if you can't find any endo experts in your area, no sense in seeing a sub-par surgeon, right? Sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the moment and there's no need to rush a decision.
I really hope the testing reveals something. I suspect it will. Don't be shy about asking for copies of all the results so you can get a better understanding of them. I'm thankful you at least have your naturopath, who hasn't given up on you!
Love you, too!

So the mystery is somewhat solved. My naturopath told me today that I tested positive for Ebstein Barr Virus. It can be found in people with Chronic Fatique Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.
It's the same virus that causes Mono, but I tested negative for Mono and I tested negative for having the virus active in me. Apparently the cells are there and that is most likely what is causing all of my fatigue.
My naturopath gave me some supplements to try and wants me to start doing IV treatments when I can. I'm relieved to finally find out what is going on with me, but I feel kind of weird about the whole thing. I've never even heard of this type of virus before. Oh well I'm just ready to start feeling better.

Hmm, I've heard of it, but don't know a whole lot about it. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel at least?? What kind of supplements / IV does she have in mind?
I hope this is a step in the right direction!

There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's going to take awhile to recover. I've been having diarrhea that past few days and I started vomiting at work this morning. My glands are really swollen and my ears are starting to hurt. I feel absolutely awful and I can't digest anything. I'm having these really awful stomach cramps. I put a call into my naturopath to see what she wants me to do. I'm getting the feeling the virus is starting to kick my butt. I feel really run down and feel worse then I've felt in quite awhile. I don't know what's going to happen with my new job now. I'm just started to get worried. Here's a link about EBV. It's kind of confusing because it can be found in many different medical conditions. www.bettermedicine.com/article/epstein-barr-virus I'm not currently contagious nor do I have mono. My naturopath feels like it is to soon to diagnose me with chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia. Basically I'm just waiting to here from her what my next step should be.

Just got off the phone with my naturopath. She thinks I have a stomach virus so I'm just going to take it easy today and see how I feel tomorrow. Just going to try a liquid diet and see how I do on that. Bleh I need to put my worries aside and stop freaking out.

Paint, I'm glad you have some piece of information, but it's a little frustrating I guess because it comes with so many more questions!
and I'm sorry about the stomach virus--those suck even if you're already feeling healthy and strong. How is the tummy today?

My tummy is still really upset. I took some Zofran which helped a little. I'm still having diarrhea so I'm just trying to drink a lot of fluids. I ran a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies through my juicer last night and am going to do that again today.
I finally had to stop reading about EBV yesterday because it is associated with so many awful diseases. I just can't even think about it right now or I want to cry. I called my naturopath this morning to see if I can come in and do an IV treatment. I'm going to acupuncture here in a little while so hopefully that will help. I just feel completely exhausted in every way.

Take it one day at a time, k? What do the IV treatments entail? How often? What are they? Whatever the case, I hope you're on the path to getting better!

I'm trying Karen. I just feel so overwhelmed. I'm really sick. I think between this stomach virus and EBV my immune system has been compromised. I went to see my naturopath today. She gave me an IV full of saline to rehydrate me and put some Vitamin C and Magnesium in it. That's basically the kind of IV's I'll be doing for EBV treatment. She wants me to try to come in a few times over the holidays. I might even schedule an appointment for next week depending on how I am feeling.
I called out of work for this Sat because my naturopath told me too. I also asked if I could just work three days a week in Jan. I just feel like my body can't handle 4 days a week 11hr days. They seemed pretty understanding so that's good.

Did you notice any difference with the IV treatment? I hope being hydrated a bit more at least helps! I'm glad your employer was understanding about reduced hours in January. I'm glad you're able to take some more time to help yourself heal.
Sending you big, healing hugs!

So now that my hernia has come about and I'm going to have to have surgery I have put a call in to my OBGYN to see if she knows of any Dr.'s in the Denver metro area that do excision surgery. My Mom and I had a long talk and since I'm going to have to have surgery anyways I might as well let them check out my endo and see if there's anything that could be going on that might need to be removed.
I'm really nervous about all of this and how it has come about. I want to meet the surgeon my OBGYN recommends and talk to him at length about everything. We will see what comes about in the next few days. I just know I want my life back. Thanks for always letting me vent girls. I so appreciate it. This is one of the few safe places I feel I can come and share.
