I'm naturally thin and my weight has fluctuated up and down ever since getting endo so I can relate to how frustrating the comments can be. I'm sorry that people are saying things like that to you. It's very inconsiderate. As hard as it is I try to either blow people's comments off or I've talked to a few people about how hurtful their comments about my weight can be.
You can be as fiesty as you want Nicole.

wouldn't it be funny if you could walk up to some heavy person and say, jeeze, you're so heavy, wow, you must eat a LOT of food. funny how we are socialized to ignore/not acknowledge the obvious health issues of overweight people but feel comfortable pointing out thinness to thin people! You could probably be FIRED from your job for singling out someone for being overweight, because that's just mean and insensitive, but you can poke fun at the thin girl all day and people will just laugh. Sorry nicole, you didn't need that, you've got enough going on! stupid women! lame.

You should say something really sarky like, 'It's great being this thin, people mistake me for a model all the time. But I tell them I would never leave my job to become a model, because my work colleagues are just too awesome.' That'll shut them up.

I'm with pretty. I wonder that all the time. If women are thin/skinny then they must have an eating disorder, but if anyone makes a comment about people who are obese it's not politically correct. I hate the double standard.
Gem's response is perfect.

Yeah well having weight isn't a joy either, The last TWO F@CKING DOCTORS told me all my health problems are because of my weight! I'm so sick of that SH*T from doctors. I have stage IV endometriosis, stupid crappy doctors. I have a disease, I actually had both of my GI doctors tell me I couldn't possibly have anything wrong with my bowels because I'm to heavy. Um... I am now but wait a few months of constant diarrrhea and I'm sure I can trim down for you? I dont' know why I bother. I'm not going to get anyone to listen to me. I'm apparently to "healthy".

Hmm, I think over here it can often be the other way round. People find it ok to mention weight, call somebody 'curvy', or 'fatty' even just in jest, call names etc, but we shy away from mentioning how skinny people are a lot of the time. Neither is appropriate or fair, and being overweight/obese isn't always down to just over-eating. You never know what's going on in someone's life. I wish people would just generally mind their own business a bit more, or ask rather than making assumptions.
