I can so feel your frustration coz I'm in a similar boat in re to IVF....i know soooo many cases where IVF has helped people. Generally tho, they've had a couple of cycles and then decided to stop IVF and then a month or 2 later "your pregnant!".... A gfriend of mine was only ovulating every 6-8 months, then she got IVF plus acupuncture, decided to stop IVF and now has a beautiful little 1 year old. Another gfriend copped twins! Lol. The money thing is a huuuuuuge concern. I'm not sure how it works over there but I think (from what iv been told), we pay an upfront fee of $1,200 and then the rest of what we pay we get back. This only applies to women who have fertility issues. I still don't know that much about IVF. I'm currently at the stage of researching. I don't have heaps of money and I know I only have about 2 years.... But for me, having a child, experiencing motherhood will be worth every $! This sucks hey!!!!! If only there were some simple answers. I don't know u but try not to push your emotions too fast and remember it's normal to be changing your mind 100 times a day! Xoxo

Wow, only $1200 for IVF?? A good friend of mine had to go through it because her husband had issues and it was $15,000!
CG - would you consider calling your new doc tomorrow and talking to the nurse about your concerns about going back on the pill? Nurses will usually filter info through to the doc and either call you back with an answer or have the doc call you back and speak to you directly. Perhaps some additional information may help your mind a bit.
And I echo Cherry's comments - she made a VERY good point. I was tested for food sensitivities and came back with a whooooole lot of them, and a lot of them happen to be on the endo-diet no-no list. I know the endo diet isn't for everyone and I certainly don't follow it to a T, but I at least eliminate my no-no foods 95% off the time. So, yes, your doctor has a point about the general population, but as we all know, girls with endo aren't general by any means.
Whatever the case, I'm wishing you both the energy to process all the info you've been given!

Hey it wouldn't be a bad idea to try one more month this this suppository option! I think that's a good idea. Just remember, all of these things can be discontinued if they don't work out. None of this is permanent. Then if it doesn't work you wont be stuck with that "what if" because you gave it a chance.

I'm afraid but I think 1 more month I can stick it out. I"m going to take your advice Jenaya and make a bunch of lists with pros/cons of each treatment and talk to the doctor again and then make a decision.

That sounds like a fab plan, CG!! I can imagine it's hard to have a lot of info swirling around in your head but it might help to get that down on paper. Hope it gives you some clarity!

You're just overwhelmed. We know how it feels to have so much information and feeling so lost on what to do. It's too much! I think writing it all down will make it less scary because it wont seem so overwhelming and it will be better than jumping from thought to thought.
I hope this valium works. I'm really interested to see how it helps you.

Sounds like a really good plan, glad you have the backing of your docs! Have you read tcoyf yet? It's a super good baby making confidence booster, I swear! And if you need Ivf in the fall, if I remember correctly, there's info in the book about what it might entail.

WOW your doctors called you and did all that! That's amazing! And using clomid to grow endo before surgery just makes me think more about how doctors don't do these surgeries at the right time in the cycle.
I sure hope this all works out for you!

Did you start taking your birth control in the middle of your cycle or did you wait until after your period?

I sure hope for some weird reason I wasn't pregnant and just miscarried again......ugh. I just spent a ton yesterday on ovulation predictor kit for this month, I'm not going back now to buy a pregnancy test kit. Ah........this is frustrating! If you're still temping, you should be able to tell if you're pregnant or not, no need to buy a pregnancy test! If your temps after ovulation remain high for 18 days, buy a pregnancy test. If your temps fell before your last period and have stayed low since, though, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. BC can throw off your cycles, even one measly little pill.

thanks Karen! Well, my temps have been all over, low and high so I'm pretty sure then I'm not. I can't believe how 1 pill would make such a difference! I had some cramping the day after I didn't continue taking the pill and I was like wow, my body already feels the pill.....I hope this passes....spotting always used to freak me out. I wish I wasn't so dang constipated...it's been almost a week......I don't want to resort to the MOM but I might have to....

Wow one pill did all that to you! I'm wondering if your body just got confused after taking that one dose of birth control. I think as long as it's just spotting it will hopefully go away once your body resets from taking the birth control. ANd I guess if you're really concerned you can call your doc and mention it to him/her and see what they say? Birth control is strong stuff! I think it has a larger effect on us then we think; even just one pill!

When I discontinued the nuva ring I had just put it in and it was only in for 3 days when I had to remove it. I went through the SAME thing you're going through. I had a full blown period, I was up all night sweating perfusely and I was miserable crazy. I really think this is the pill. It may have caused another "light" period for you but since you have such horrible periods you're getting all of those symptoms too.
I know how you feel. I went through this too when I stopped birth control after only having it in a few days. I guess you'll be able to find out soon if the valium suppository works!

If you are temping, you would have seen a definite shift up in your temp for 18 days if you are pregnant. There would be no doubt. are you still temping?
