I was vit B deficient too--that was the basis of all my anemia. I still struggle with anemia every period, but for the most part it's SOO much better.
I found out yesterday that apparently hormonal BCP cause/contribute to vit B deficiency, and that all women on BCP should take a complex vit B supplement.
Hells, I'm so sorry for the 2 year delay, but glad you finally have this information.

I've noticed a lot more hair on my floor and when washing my hair in the past few months, but this morning really startled me. I always wear my hair down but when I woke up this morning, my hair was pushed back from sleep and my temples were revealed. My hairline is receding. A lot. It's really noticeable when I pull my hair back. Add it to my long list of symptoms...

Well, it's what, 6 weeks since I had the B12 shots? I'm hesitant to say this...but I think my hair is growing more/getting thicker. I think. Not sure. But I have hope!!

Woo hoo! Fingers crossed!
Mine is starting to grow back - I've got a lot of 1 inch hairs at my hairline. I have hope that it's my thyroid and it's getting better.

I was just going through the threads and found this one. I almost fell off my chair. when I began feeling sick back in January My hair started falling out in clumps. My hair was extremely long down to my but. In Feb I couldn't take how much was falling out and one day in the shower I took a pair of scissors with me and cut it all off above my shoulders. I thought my husband was going to kill me. Well it didn't stop it from falling out and I hate my hair short.
I never would have put these two together if I was not reading through the threads. Did the B-12 shots work?

Stress can do some pretty awful things to the body - both physical stress and emotional stress. It's a symptom that something's not quite right. Might be worth asking your doctor to run a few tests. Thyroid, adrenals, testosterone, and B12 seem to be some big contributors to hair loss, if I recall properly.
Mine still has some thin areas, but I have loads and loads of 2" strands popping up. If it's humid (as it is today), they stick straight up and are really noticeable. But, I'd rather have that than the alternative!

Stress can do some crazy things. I had a full CBC done and thyroid, hormone levels. I get this done every year since I hit 30.
I am going to ask my Dr about this. Thank you Karen

I had 5 B12 shots in a short space of time late Dec/early Jan - they give you a 'booster' dose, then it's 1 every 12 weeks. I noticed a huge improvement after about a month or so of the booster dose but now it's not so good. Still better though!

I used to take vitamin B and B12 to help with my nails and hair when I wasn't eating correctly and my hair was falling out. That or take a prenatal vitamin. They help with hair and nail strength too!
