Nah, I'm totally going to let you all know how it goes!!! LOL!
The doc advised me to finish this pack of birth control and then have the break and a period, particularly as I haven't had one in about a year which she said is not good for my womb (due to the BC I'm taking).
I am sh*tting myself! It means, I should in theory get my period next Monday or Tuesday as my last pill is tomorrow. I want to see how my period is, however I am concerned as it's so soon after the surgery. The pros to it are that I will still be off work, so if it's horrendous, I'm at home anyway; the cons are that it might be horrendous!

Also, how long should I wait until I go into the gym? And Jenaya, do you have any tips (I can't find your thread for some reason and can't remember when you started exercising after your surgery).

Wow, Gem, you must be feeling pretty good?
As far as the gym, I returned to doing yoga very quickly--by day 3 I think--but yoga is different from the gym. Just listen to your body--exercising increases blood flow all over, and you've had lots of places worked on inside, so increased blood flow can increase pain too. Plus, you don't want to invite inflammation in. Maybe start with a few walks and see how you do?
I hope it's not too horrible going off the bc. that's really soon after your surgery to have a period!

Well, I'm not going to be getting into exercise just yet - I'm still feeling quite rough body-wise even though I don't feel awful if that makes sense. I really just want to get other people's experiences of this as I'm not sure what is normal?!
I can only just stand up straight now and my incisions sting and my insides feel like I've been beaten up! I've been reading through some other girls lap stories and people do seem to be getting back into their activities and going back to work really soon, whereas I'm still in my pyjamas!
Today I have done the following and my stomach feels like I've worked it too much - had an orgasm (I wanted to see if it hurt), made breakfast, put the washing up away, wiped the kitchen down, put the laundry on (no heavy lifting I promise) and generally walked around the house. That really isn't much in 10 hours and the rest of the time I was in bed or on the settee and yet I can really feel it on my stomach and back.

Take it easy Gem. Our bodies heal differently and some of us take more time then others to heal. I know when I have my surgery it's going to take awhile because my last one did. You'll have to forgive me. The Mom is coming out in me an I just don't want you to hurt yourself. I'm glad you are feeling good enough to think about these things though that's awesome!

i certainly felt like a bunch of bulls had been trampling around my innards for quite some time, so don't have more expectations than your body can handle.
Did the orgasm hurt?

I think it's good that you are trying to get up and moving around again. You'll know your limits and eventually you'll start to feel better. The best advice I could give is to listen to your body very carefully. If you feel tired then definitely take a break and rest! If you are starting to hurt then stop whatever your doing and try again another time. It may seem obvious but you know how us endo girls are! PUSH THROUGH THE PAIN! RAAWWRRR! um yeah, don't do that Hang in there Gem!!

It was a good month before I felt somewhat normal. I went back to work sooner and tried to exercise sooner and that was a big mistake. Everyone is different, but I guess I'm just trying to give you permission to let your body heal at it's own pace and not try to force it too much!

It took me three weeks to feel normal-ish after my most recent lap! I still don't feel totally great because i have so much inflammation still. But anyway, everyone heals differently, so take your time. No way i could have done yoga after the third day, that is crazy to think about hahah

Oh MY Gosh, yeah! I can't wait. My last sex a thon (which is not as nice as it sounds, It means I couldn't get going no matter what I did) I finally gave up and gave my hubby a happy ending. I realize now it was because of the obstruction but its a horrible thing to deal with and make you feel so horrible when the most basic of functions that make up who we are don't work. SO YEAH for sex! And yeah for Orgasm! By the way, a funny, My hubby couldn't go that night for the longest time and gave me a sort of complement. He said I had "trained him to well, he couldn't go without me". LOL Isn't that sweet!?

Hey girlies Thought I'd give you a quick update! It's been a month since my surgery and I feel amazing!!!! I had a period which was the best, lightest and most pain free I've had since I was eleven!! I had bloating and some pain but it was nothing compared with my 5 day excruciating, in bed, on drugs marathon periods that I had been having I still have darkish patches where the bruises were but can't feel them anymore and I don't have any pain from the surgery! I haven't attempted sex yet as I am aware that as they did cut a hole in my vagina and it has only been a month I need to not do anything that might mess up how good I'm feeling. However I think in the next fortnight I'll get down to it!! I cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday (full on spring clean) and usually I have to have a sit down every 20 mins or so to allow the back pain (caused by the now removed nodule) to go back to normal levels - yesterday I went for about 3 hours straight before stopping for a cup of tea! I'm eating healthily and going to join the gym in the next couple of weeks and I'm so excited So, I am aware that I still can't do everything but right now I feel awesome! After my follow up in a few months depending on how I feel I'm going to try and see if I can come off the BC and see how I go without it as I know that is contributing (or masking) to my pain levels. Thank you again for all your help and love and support, you girls are awesome
