Thanks guys I was up and down all last night with pain and peeing but was at least ok enough to go to work which was good. I'm going to look into those things Chica as the bladder problems are getting more and more frequent so need to keep on top of it.

Seriously? Make sure you know if your man has OCD before you get yourself hitched! I just got out of bed to iron dress shirts for my husband, who was bi*ching that he never has dress shirts for meetings. Not many have come across my stack to iron recently, and I usually wait until I have several at a time to iron before I do them. Anyway, walked out to the garage, got everything ironed, buttoned, and tidy, climbed everything back upstairs, just to count 9....yes, freaking 9 dress shirsts ironed and pressed, hanging up in his closet. WTF! Drag me out of bed for that? When he alrwady had 9 hanging up? When asked why he did that, he said that he wanted to wear his burgundy shirt. Yeah. That one didn't get ironed. Maybe he should have just asked me to iron the burgundy one instead of being all passive aggressive with me!

Okay! That's it! I want to twist his nuts now. The burgundy shirt was hanging there in plain sight. GRRRR!

Bandages are good. The adhesive is NOT GOOD AT ALL. I'm all broken out an itching like a sonofab*tch. I don't like to have my incisions uncovered, especially the ones at the belly button and right under the bra-line, for obvious reasons. So, after I wash and dry them, I put on Mederma, and cover them with band-aids. The bigger ones have worse adhesive than the regular-sized ones, but sh*t. I feel like thi sh*t's going to scar and blister as bad as the effing incisions!

Ooh, Sunshine, I get that, too! Ow ow ow! Try to find some latex free bandaids if you haven't already - those seem to be way better for me!

Another way you can cover them is to buy sterile gauze and some medical paper tape. Just put the gauze over them and tape it down. It's light and usually doesn't cause an allergic reaction.

My wound is oozing again. Not happy.
Sunshine, I have Mepore dressings and the adhesive doesn't itch too much. Do they still need to be covered? I was told when I had the wound check after around 5 days that they didn't need dressings anymore. I'm using them now though, because it's open again.

ugh, the hubby didn't get the job offer. He did finally pass the oral boards. I feel so bad for him and pissed off at the whole system. He raged for a moment about the fact that the ones that get hired as firefighters are the ones who can Bull sh*t the best. It has nothing to do with his skill level as a medic which is very proud of. Stupid, idiotic, frakin' fire tests! I hate how they make us feel. AND I hate feeling like it. My hubby is the bomb and they can f*ckin go to Hell!

Aww how sad about the job Omak! Poor guy. He worked really hard for that!
Helen, I really hope your wound gets better. That's kinda scary to have a wound infection. Maybe it's time for your doctor to be a little more proactive about it and consider the option of antibiotics or a different regiment for cleaning it?
