I know there's been a lot of concern and well wishes for Keri, so if you'd like to post here to send her your messages? Hopefully she'll be well enough to post soon and can reply here too. I know that she knows we love her dearly, she's a brave lady indeed!

I hope Keri doesn't mind me updating as she wouldn't want anyone worrying.
She needed a GI doctor there and for some reason one wasn't present at the operation, which essentially made it a waste of time and of her energy when she's really not well enough to be messed around like that. Her gynae couldn't do much as a result. It's thought to be a problem inside the intestine/bowel. She is going to the Cleveland clinic next, so needs to rest and get fluids in. She's on a specific IV due to being pretty fragil right now. I'm not sure if she's home yet as we haven't heard anything further as yet but being that she's been unwell a while, it'd make sense for her to be cared for in hospital until this next appointment/surgery.
It's pretty awful that she is STILL going through so many errors. Praying for her, she's brave and a strong person but how much can a person put up with when people are fluffing up so badly around her. I'm glad she has her husband who will undoubtedly be keeping a record. Heads need to roll over this, I'm sure we all agree.

No GI doctor showed up?? oh goodness, that is just awful. Getting Keri better is first, then holding the people responsible for dropping the ball is next. I'd be suing the hospital and making them pay all expenses related to this. I am worried about her and keep praying that she is comfortable and being taken care of.

I just can't imagine what it feels like to feel so awful, then have so many people that you're supposed to trust with your health let you down...
Wishing you a quick recovery from surgery & some fast answers! Love you, hun!!

Keri, you have been inspiring me from my first day on the board. I remember reading through your posts thinking, wow, it is possible to rise above this painful disease and still have a meaningful and beautiful life. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Love you!

Hey I got a couple texts from her today. Here's what she said:
"Had an emergency scope today, got a different GI. Things were so bad. Looks like it's gastritis. We do not know how long I have had it. Docs running tests and if left untreated can cause stomach cancer. It's been a mess, still in the hospital no release day. I had a reaction to zofran too last night so I have been very sick and out of it from surgery sedation. Still on picc line, still no food or drink for me. We have a plan for colonoscopy next week and they are running blood work and testing to see what caused all this. It has been hard to know that neglect has me here. Thanks for all the support. If you could update the board for me I would appreciate it. Give a virtual hug on the thread for me. When we get results I will let you know when we know how far it has progressed we will file a suit if it has gone to stomach cancer. It could have been prevented. We have a lot to think about and I am going to be making a neglect post aswell."

thanks Jenay. so good to know.... sounds awful, but I'm so glad she's getting care NOW. bastards! if this is what happens to Keri, who is informed and employed and well-connected, imagine the neglect potential for our endo sisters out there with no health care and no money and no friends.... I know Keri is gonna be on fire when we get her back, watch out world! cant wait! thanks again.

Thanks for the update! I am dumbfounded at the medical system - simply speechless. I can sort of attest, took $800 in medical fees and finally a doctor with a clue to check for simple bacterial vaginisis to fix my problem - unreal. Hugs to Keri! We are all thinking of her!

Jeez she needed this colonoscopy months ago. I cannot believe the repeated failures, it's been downright cruel. It had better not lead to stomach cancer, enough is enough. Our poor girl, that's some horribly painful stuff right there. Aaaargh I get so frustrated at all of this that I can't think of what to say. Seth better all Erin Brokovich on their asses when she's well! But minus the push up bra, I'm sure he's already hot enough.

Thank you so much ladies. So much has happend and I will get in details I just had to post how much appreciate all of you. As Jenaya posted we found out yesterday its a gi infection we still have another scope to do and I'm not sure when I get to go home. A lot has been missed in this case starting w the Er doc a month and a half ago. Its so sad. The issue is common but left untreated can cause horrible things. We do not know yet about that. If I can say anything that will help everyone learn from this be proactive in your health and demand when you feel neglected. Docs are not G~d nor are the insurance companies. They need to treat us w respect demand that too and honesty. My gi doc never told me he didn't have privileges here. I was left wout a gi doc w the help of friends and nurses I got one and had my egd done within a hr of seeing him. Like cherry said a scope that could of been done a month ago. In the wrong hands tho my body has went thru hell. I still have faith tho I can do this. Its gonna take a lot but I got this. We have yet to decide if we will file anything more then complaints. Waiting on a few tests to see how they turn out. This is a case of neglect by many. Docs heard endometriosis and cared not to even bother w me. Gastritis google search shows all my symptoms yes it was that simple scope the didn't do that could of prevent this. Its so sad! L'chaim ~to life~ Keri
