Weren't expecting bonuses this year. Hasn't been a good few years for construction... But, got a call from my big boss this morning and he asked me to come to his office and he had a nice present for me! Can certainly use it this year.

I'm blessed to live in a city with lots of options. When it comes to groceries, a new store opened up in my area. It's a food co-op! Mostly organic, locally sourced ingredients. I joined today ($58 lifetime, not bad! Otherwise, they add 5% to the total bill for non-owners) and just made my first trek. It's waaay different than the typical stores around here... Gluten free stuff everywhere, organic everywhere, ALL sorts of beautiful produce and meats, YAY! I've stayed away from processed food for so long because it's all full of crap, but there are lots of yummy looking options there that I'll have to test out. Best part? It's the same or cheaper than my typical grocery store, and about the same as the one across town that I used to make the trek to.

Yummy! When I hear about organic food stores I just imagine all of the produce going into a big pot and making a stew! That's such good news though I love when you find new places to shop, it's a weirdly good feeling!

My abdominal pain has been kicking up wild-style over the weekend so cos I go in late today, I went ahead and stayed in bed this morning, watched Love Actually again and ate some of the chocolates the sis got me. Now for a cup of tea, heaven!

Hey Karen, what's the name of the store? A store popped up by us and I'm wondering if its an organic type health store too. I think ours is called Aldi? I've been dying to go in there!

Aldi is a German store... try their Belgian chocolate with whole hazelnuts in it, amazing. It's a run of the mill supermarket but here it's quite a bargain and sells some really nice stuff and some average stuff. There's one opposite the Asda by me and it's always done well.

I just read about the one here. They aren't an organic or a coop. They just claim to have better quality stuff, smaller store, more convienent, etc. I'll have to check it out!

Wow Karen I want to visit your town for the store. Love that its all in one place. I have a small store similar to that north of me I love shopping there it makes me feel so good. I have good news too even tho I'm at the hospital. Jacob had his band concert and had a solo on drums. I got to hear it and watch it on video he did awesome. I'm really proud of him.

Aw, Keri, glad you were able to see his concert even though you couln't be there. I'm sure he was excited that you could hear his solo!
The store is a local place, not a chain. Sorry! Around here, Aldis is a discount grocery. It's the kind of place to start at, then go to the real store for whatever you can't get there. I haven't been in yearss but some friends doq!
