Woooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Jenaya! You go kick some ass in that class, k? Just goes to show that some topics within a class are more difficult than others, and just because you don't do so well on one doesn't mean you'll bomb all the others. (That's my teacher-pep-talk!)

I'm taking on new responsibilities at work AND my full work load at the moment so things have been a bit crazy. Not only did I clear off my desk today (no small feat) which makes me feel a lot less guilty for taking Friday off (the office is still open...), but I was also given the opportunity to define what I think my new job duties/job description should be. We'll see if the final draft matches up with the things I/my other team members suggested but I think that it'll be pretty close. I'm stoked.

Yay! I'm glad they're listening they obviously think you kick butt at what you're already doing! God I think if I ever do make it into construction I'd love to work with you My good news is that after a few days of caution and the usual over-thinking, I'm back to being nice and happy again. If I can make people laugh and smile then my day is a good one and I know I have my groove back cos I have that little smile back on my face that I don't realise I'm doing. Whatever was up with me last week stunk but I think Karen was right and it was hormonal.

Yay! Cherry got her groove back!! My good news is that my dad rocks. Not only is he fixing my car for free today (the accelerator was sticking sometimes, couldn't get it to go!) but he also surprised me with some help for my medical bills that keep stacking up & freaking me out. Phew. Am super thankful for everything he does for me, without having to sacrifice my pride to ask!

Nice work everyone! My good news is that after 5 weeks of nausea after starting Metformin it seems to be getting MUCH better!

That's great, you should start seeing positive effects soon too, my friend was a right ratty cow til the nausea stopped and the weight has been dropping off her, in a good way Karen your dad sounds like a star, he obviously knows what he can and should do for the girl who usually does everything herself, lovely

Yay Helen!!! Do you have a bit more of an appetite yet?

A little bit. Still eating a lot of bacon though! And I keep forgetting to take the damn things! I don't think that's why the nausea's stopping though, because I take enough to keep it in my system. I definitely have more of an appetite, but I've had some fairly rich food in Holland so I just want pretty plain stuff right now.

This is great, I think wanting decent food is part of it too, my pal when she got her appetite back, started liking and being interested in healthier more nutritious stuff, and just lost interest in the sugary stuff that she craved so much before. It may have been a change of mentality as well as the metformin but she feels great for it

I've never been a big sugar eater. I can keep a bar of chocolate in the fridge for weeks and just snap a piece off now and then, I only used to get chocolate cravings at TOTM. Earlier this year I was craving chocolate like never before but still didn't eat a huge amount. Wonder if that was due to the Provera/PCOS issues. For the most part I can't be bothered with biscuits and so forth, only when I'm due/got my period. The tummy pains/nausea definitely seem to have calmed down, bowel movements are getting better and I feel a bit less bloated. Was really quite happy with the way I looked in my dress last night when I was getting ready! My weight is still a little up and down, but it's stopped going up and up.

It's so nice when your body settles, I can imagine it was at least annoying to see the weight going up when you'd done nothing to cause it . I forgot my sister seems to have reined her PCOS in somewhat, she was a big sugar bug recently like my pal though and it's only due to migraines that she properly changed her diet. I'm so happy for all 3 of you getting that sh*tty disease under control.

My good news is that I spent all day Thursday, Friday, and this morning with my niece (and other family members). She lives far, far away so it was a real treat.
She's almost 10 weeks and already has me wrapped firmly around her little finger. When the rest of my family went out to eat last night, I stayed home with her (I wasn't hungry). I was nervous about it because my sister is still breastfeeding and we didn't have any reserves, but I was able to keep her calm. She got a bit fussy but a little walking around and singing got her calmed down. By the time they got back, she and I were snuggling on the couch and she was smiling. Such a sweet, sweet girl with such adorable yawns and sighs.

Super cute. There's something precious about that age, when they're small enough to snuggle and still be totally dependant, but they understand and make faces, and you get this amazing connection

Remember the job I went for - well...I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Basically, I am on a 'waiting list' for a position in my area to come up but I am so excited, relieved and happy, particularly with all the crap I've been having in work.
