Cherry, it's always great when you can slam the door in Mother Nature's face, isn't it? I try to turn her away quietly with 'what's that over there!' and close the door when she looks over there. I'd rather not slam the door as such, due to the fact that Mother Nature would f*ck me up haha!

YAAAAAY! great news gem. way to legitimize your illness. Now go give 'em hell! PS it would be great if endo gave you like purple and green suppurating wounds, wouldn't it, just so people would 'believe' in it. then I bet nobody would try being snarky about endo! damn invisible disease anyway!

I went to a specialist today and got some great news. He did another vaginal ultra sound and physical exam since I've been in pain lately, but he didn't find any additional cysts or masses and said that everything looks good. He was surprised by me having stage four endo and my reproductive organs looking as good as they do. He recommended physical therapy for the back pain I've been having and to look into a different primary doc to help me with my bowel issues. He thinks it's a possibility I have IBS so he recommended a primary care doc that he knows in Boulder. It was just so nice to hear that despite the pain I'm doing well and my body isn't falling apart. I've heard so much negativity from doctors since I got diagnosed that the positivity from him made all the difference. I feel like endo has been controlling my life since my surgery and now I think I'm ready to be back in charge. Tomorrow I'm forcing myself to go to Yoga and to get started on the diet again. I've cheated a lot the past couple of weeks. It's time to get back in the saddle again.

Paint - can you please give me more of your bowel symptoms? I'm also struggling with bowel issues myself. In 2002 I was diagnosed with endo and IBS after going thru a flex sigmoidoscopy, barium enema and the lap. I was on the BCP from 2002 - 2009 when I went off in June of 09 to get preggers. My periods are light, and only last afew days but I really suffer on day 3 usually. No tummy pain but my ass feels like it's going to fall out. It's just a rectal pain - no runs or hemeroids or fissures etc. I also have a hard time getting my urine started lately for the past 3 periods, not sure if this is endo on the bladder or something else. I seem to improve after my period is over though I still feel some pain when the rectal pain/pressure is happening sometimes during the month. I was also never given a stage of endo when I was diagnosed, all they said was it was pretty bad whatever that means.

Pretty- I live in Westminster, but work in Boulder. I'm in Boulder pretty frequently. How long ago did you live there?
Thanks Karen!
Chicagogal- My bowel symptoms have been severe constipation and bloating. The bloating has eased up some and so has the constipation, but it hurts almost everyday when I sit down. My pain feels like it's all around my rectum and it just constantly aches. I don't have tummy pain either that's why he wants me to get checked out for IBS. I haven't had a hard time urinating, but I've been told that could happen at some point because I had endo on my bladder. My pain is pretty much constant and doesn't really go away even when I am off my period. I was told by my surgeon that I have stage 4 endo and I've read online that if you have endo on your bowel that's what they say diagnoses stage four, but I don't know if that is true. I'm still very new to the endo thing. If you want I can let you know more of what my primary care doc says when I go to meet him. I'm hoping to see him in the next couple of weeks. I'm sorry you are having bowel issues as well. I've found that's been the worst part for me. It's so incredibly uncomfortable.

Paint - yeah, keep me posted. I have to get this figured out quickly, I can't stand it anymore. I'm on my 3rd round of antibiotics in 2 months, not even sure if it's a bladder issue or not. Also, my rectal pain is to the right of my butt - but lower near the bone area. It's just a dull annoying ache.

Paint and Chica - I have both bowel and bladder problems. The bladder problems are pretty much a feeling of a constant UTI and the bowel problems are rectal pain (and bleeding during my period), a constant ache that is painful that goes all across my lower back and down my left leg as well as problems going to the toilet. Hot baths get rid of the pain for a short while if it's really bad, but whilst I haven't yet been diagnosed, the pain and problems are constant, no let up.
