Here's hoping it's tolerable, Gem! I still have the fear, too, when it comes on since mine can be so sporadic.

my pain came back last night and have been in pain all night, trouble sleeping because of it and tylenol didn't help. Finally got up and kind of still don't feel quite right and have pain. thinking of going to the dr. because of this. It's much more extreme than normal and the pain is more up in my mid to upper abdominals and not so much in my pelvis. I just feel, I don't know, somehow ill. the pharmacy doesn't have Visanne in stock, so I may have to wait until tuesday to get it. ugh.

Aw man I'm sorry! If this isn't your normal pain that you get with your periods then it might be worth talking to your doctor about. We all ignore and blame our pain on endo but I always say it's concerning when it's not your typical pain that you get. Have you tried other things like a heating pad or a hot bath? Sorry you feel terrible. I hope it goes away and you don't have to see your doctor.

I feel much better now, well, in that I'm not bed ridden anymore and don't feel ill. The "normal" pain is there still though. I stayed in bed until 3pm as it hurt too much to sit up or walk around. I was really going to go to the ER a few times as it felt similar to when I ended up with a bleeding liver with an endometrioma in it, so I got kind of scared. I also felt incoherent somewhat this morning which was weird. The problem today was that I felt okay in bed but when I'd get up I'd feel awful, so after being in bed a while, I'd think. Nah, I don't need to go to the ER. What would they do anyway? Do a scan of some sort to make sure nothing important is bleeding? Although it's better to be safe than sorry, I know that, and it's free here in Canada to go the hospital. It seems a lot of people on here have really awful pains though and don't always go to the ER.
yeah, I know Jenaya, it could be something else, and I did think of that, and last night I also seemed to have gas pains and was kind of blaming it on that, but I think it wasn't that, although there was gas bellowing around in my intestines also. I'd feel embarrassed to go the ER for gas pains. I think they'd take me seriously though, if I did go, since I have a history of an endometrioma bleeding in my liver and I have similar abdominal pain to that. I had pain from my sternum down to my pelvis, but not always in the same spot - it moved. Now it's just localized to normal period cramps and that evil growth in my right side below my rib cage, which is my normal period pain, although worse than it used to be.
What do you ladies take for pain? I did use a heating pad last night since the tylenol wasn't working, and it did seem to help some. I had wanted to take the oxycodone I have but couldn't since it contains tylenol also and I had already just taken 1000mg an hour before, so it was frustrating that it didn't work and that I couldn't take anything else. Tylenol kind of freaks me out as I know it can hurt your liver if you take too much. I took 6 500mg tablets yesterday and that's getting close to the 8 tablets that is the max. I always worry about my liver since it's been so traumatized in the past. When I had that liver surgery, I remember the surgeon said to use tylenol after I stopped the narcotics and not ibuprofen. I'm not sure entirely why, but that is why I avoid ibuprofen.

I have developed raging PMT today. For ages now I've felt weepy nearly all the time, welling up at the slightest thing. Today I just feel ANGRY! And there's no reason. I know it's PMT. I'm at work and have had to cancel a meeting (fortunately an informal one) in case I bit someone's head off. Am I weepy? Am I hell. I don't think I could cry right now if my life depended on it. It's like the sahara in my tear ducts. Oh well. Hopefully it will pass soon :-(

Wow, after 5 really bad days of pain, I just started my period on the bike ride home. Weird to start at night, no? my temp dropped this mornign but no bleeding until evening.
I just have to say, oh my god. This is really, really horrible. It's sort of amazing.

You never get your period in the afternoon/evening? It's not that odd to me! Whatever the case, I'm sorry it's an awful one.

Wish me luck today you all. My pain is a little better this morning, but I still feel like some large taloned animal is scraping my entire pelvis and pulling all my organs out of my body. Husband and I are working a bike valet at a street festival in Anacostia, and I'm also running a bunch of kiddy bike rodeos (kids going around orange cones in patterns, and generally wrecking in a tangle of training wheels and 3 year old limbs--it's cute, but high energy). It's hard to find volunteers to work east of the river (it's a sh*tty neighborhood and lots of yuppy cyclists don't want to work an event there), so I told Shane I'd pull it off with him. But it's noon to 1am, lots of kids, moving bike racks in and out of a uhaul, and I feel like crap.
Here's hoping that, miraculously, throwing a bike rack around or organizing kiddy races will make me feel better!

Oh, no! I really admire you for all the 'pushing through' that you do so you can maintain the things in your life that give you enjoyment. I'll be crossing my fingers that those talons keep the scratching to a minimum today!

I hope it went well, rust, and hope you can relax now. My pain is starting to ramp up today, I was hoping it would stay down long enough to get our 8 mile training run in tomorrow.
Nibz- hope you're feeling better today. We're having better weather today, I find a good 15 minutes in the sun outside is great for the body and soul (with sunscreen of course).
