Hi ladies. Made it home ok last night and am just resting up. Everything went very smoothly, was ready to go home within three hours post-op. Dr never talked to me after surgery, but talked to my husband and mom. Looks like I only had one silver dollar size spot of endo somewhere near my ovaries, and a sheet of scar tissue glueing two things together (don't know what yet). My right tube was completely scarred shut and he couldn't fix it. The constant pain I was having on the left side is gone right now, so I hope that was the problem! In a lot of pain from the gas today, but otherwise I'm doing good. I look forward to my post-op to get a better idea of everything. Thanks for all the well wishes ladies!

I'm glad you made it home ok and are resting. When you have time, do you still think you will need to take the femara or can you supress the endo with just BCP's?

Hi ladies Day two and I'm still doing great. Easiest recovery I've had so far - assuming because they didn't have to do too much in there. Already had a BM this morning which was shocking. I went five days without one last time! About 90% of the gas pain is gone and now I'm just generally sore everywhere down there and obviously tired. I've been up a bit more this morning, but know to take it easy. I was in a ton of pain last night, but today feel a lot better. I pray to god that I don't develop any adhesions from this go around...he was using a different adhesion barrier than the CEC used. This one was explained to me like the "ghostbusters slime" and they spray it in your entire pelvic cavity other than just coating the ovaries, like the interceed did. I'm just crossing my fingers and toes at this point. I'm bummed to hear about my tube...I don't know if he removed it or just left it in there. I'm a bit dissappointed at not knowing exactly what was found everywhere, but expected it a little from this doc. He had every bit of a "surgeon's" mentality. I guess he was kind of broad with my family post-op and didn't want to explain everything in detail. I'll just be patient until my post-op in two weeks. At least I have pictures. I will say though, the hospital experience was EXCELLENT. Never have I ever been treated with such kindess and care from the nursing and anesthesia staff. They were AWESOME. They were 100% completely on top of my pain and nausea and I never felt a thing. The second I woke up I had a nurse holding my hand and they fed me ice chips almost immediately. The second I started feeling pain, she put pain meds in my IV. Once in the second recovery room, the minute I started feeling naseous, I had an injection for that. They wrapped my in blankets and basically lifted me into my husbands truck. The two hour drive home was a bit brutal, but luckily I was still out of it. I'm surprised at how good I feel. My throat is extremely raw and it's a bit difficult to cough, but I'll deal. They put me on antibiotics just in case, which I really appreciate. I was sent home with four prescriptions: percocet, 800 mgs ibuprofen, colace, and doxycycline (antibiotic). My husband jokes that I came home with my own personal pharmacy I know I'm rambling, but just wanted to give you all my experience so far. Thanks for listening and all your support. You girls are the bestest

Ooh, I think another member had that adhesions barrier... Is it called adept? I don't remember, but I know there's a thread about it somewhere! So glad you had a good experience and are doing well, hun!

Yeah, that barrier stuff sounds very interesting! I'm glad to hear you are doing well Talia! I'm also so happy to hear that you had such great care! I'll be looking forward to your updates in a month and two months from now so see how you have progressed! I assume your other tube is OK? Is pregnancy looking good for the future if you want to pursue that?

Yep I had adept I had no idea what it was but I remember distinctly feeling like jelly and wobbling a fair bit in the first few days after my first excision op.
