Gemini it may be general pelvic floor weakness, your gym membership can probably fix that. Go to the machin that looks like you're putting your legs up in stirrups, the one where you have to squeeze your legs together, should help with any muscle weakness down there, plus it can with intimacy related stuff x

Before surgery i felt the need to wee all the time... i would go non stop and half the time nothing would come out it was just the urge to go and was very annoying! since my op where i had a lot of endo removed from my bladder i have not had these urges which is a relief...

Even though I go right before bed, I'm only there like 10mins and I'm getting up to go again and all for nothing! But the feeling of needing to go keeps me awake! During my period I get some pain as my bladder empties but I think my doc said this would be referred pain as he didn't see any endo on my bladder.

I know it's pretty soon after my surgery but I still need to run to the loo loads! I've mentioned this to my GP, and asked how likely interstitial cystitis was (cos it turned out I had severe endo on my bladder) and he was like 'whoa whoa whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves' Hmmm ok, completely unlikely

He can check w/ a simple scope of the inside of your bladder. What a punk! I had it done to check for IC, and it only took 5 minutes.

If it's not cleared up by next week, which will have given it 2 weeks since my op (feels like it's been an age already!), I'm going to ask him for another note (cos I make up to 6 trips during my work day, which is not acceptable) and I'm going to say that I want an investigation, at least to give me piece of mind. I don't like this urgency it's not normal!

If it makes u feel any better, ive had to pee heaps since my op, and it hurts when i go, which i never had before the op. In saying that though, the frequency seems like its starting to ease now.
Its worth getting it investigated if it keeps up though, id say its reasonable if uve otherwise completely recovered, but still have that, to get it tested.

Yeah it's the only thing that doesn't seem to be improving, the only thing that didn't feel 'fixed' after the op. If anything it hurt more cos I had the added soreness, and peeing makes my whol undercarriage hurt, right to my rectum. There are times when I have to go literally every 10 minutes!

Yesterday, I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis as well as my endo. I have to go every week to have medicine put in my bladder and I also have to see a physical therapist b/c apparently my pelvic muscles are weak. I have to pee every hour as it stands right now. I also have small accidents shortly after I pee. My doctor says the medicine and the therapy should help quite a bit.

i started having this need to go all the time deal just a couple months ago. i never have had this problem, and never woke up in the middle of the night to go. I counted last week and I went to the bathroom 12 times by 1pm. that seems like a little much. and i have that feeling of something just sitting on your bladder, like pressure but not too painful when i have to go. it is causing me to lose sleep now though and i can't stand it!!

This thread is a year old, but It seems like the one I'm looking for. I went to the doctor this morning and I should find out tommorow if I have a bladder infection. If not... OUCH! My whole lower bladder area is killing me. I doubled/tripled up on the cranberry just in case and they did start me on sulpha's just in case. There was blood in the urine though?? My Darvocet for my endo pain is barely touching the bladder pain. IT HURTS!

My every-day problems all started with urinary symptoms so I can relate! I had blood in the urine as well, and they ruled out any infection, kidney stones (I had to strain my pee for a while just in case!), and interstial cystitis (sp?). Eventually the urinary symptoms seemed to ease up after a few months, and after my lap, they've really settled down. I'm assuming the problems I had with my appendix somehow irritated my ureter and/or bladder... Best of luck getting some relief!!
