Today was really amazing!!! I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks, 6 days. It was earlier than most ultrasounds are performed, but it was just as amazing. I could see the little heart beating. It was just flashing/flickering away on the ultrasound! I got a little teary, but it was SOOO cool and neat to see! The little thing already has little arm buds! I'm in love!

This is funny. At my OBGYN appointment yesterday, I was given a huge goodie bag w/ samples of prenatal vitamins, literature on cord blood banking, magazines, etc. Well, the biggest magazine just happened to be for expectant mothers over the age of 35! LOL! I dont' know whether or not I was given the wrong goodie bag or if I really look like I'm over age 35! I have just a few days shy of 8 years until I turn 35!
I find it quite humorous!

Maybe they just give all that stuff to everybody?

I don't know. It was the only REAL magazine. The other were little pregnancy fitness magazines, information magazines...I guess more the pamphlet type. This is a really pretty, hefty magazine. For women 35+. And it has an obviously older-than-35-y.o. pregnant woman on the cover. LOL

Hopefully they only gave you that cos it was the best one they had! Congrats on the good scan and seeing your little jelly bean is shaping up into a little person already! Hopefully you didn't have any moments like rachel in friends ('I can't see it!') xx

LOL! I can't wait until the next scan! Oh. And the magazine is actually pretty good, just for the wrong age group!

Hello there you amazing mom-to-be! That is the most fantastic news I have heard in ages! If anyone in the world deserves it, its you. You have been there for everyone...full of support and love and understanding. This message board is really a place of hope and finding others who really know what you are going through. You were there for me every step of the way even when you were going through all your own pain. You are the least selfish person I know and I cant tell you how happy I am for you and your hubby! The first scan is so amazing...the trans vaginal thing isn't fun...I had to have a lot of those at all my early appointments, but it is so worth it. my little one turned from a bubble to a blob, to a duck, to an alien to the most beautiful little munchkin!!! You will be so amazed everytime you see your little one how he/she changes!!! I'm actually all tearful!!! I am so happy for you!!! BRAVO!! YAY!! May you have all the best, that your pregnancy will be filled with awsome moments and that every thrilling second which leads you on your path to motherhood be blessed.

Thanks, monira! I actually came home from work today. I still haven't thrown up; I'm just extremely nauseaus. Maybe if I stick my finger down my throat to induce vomiting I'll fell better? I hate throwing up, though. Don't know if I'll try it! LOL. Probably not the update you were thinking of, huh!
