Why would you give your kids names you can't pronounce? Of course, however you pronounce it, that will be how it's pronounced. That's how teachers will say it, and classmates, and pretty much anyone who ever meets your kid, including the kid. So even if you can't say it "right..." you'll be inventing a new pronunciation for the name.

Well be mindful that you don't name your little one anything too odd! My name is (deep breath cos i have a middle name) Shaheeda Carlotta Da Costa-Miller I'm sure you will understand that I found it oh so hard to learn to spell my name in school! xx

The tradition in both my husband's and my culture is to name babies after deceased relatives. In this case, both names are difficult to pronounce.

I think Cherrybop for a girl, Cherryned for a boy. As usual, you have no idea how much I giggle writing that! Easily amused! xx
*edit* Ooh better still, you should name the little one ouchybop or ouchyned! Oh little jellybean! I love names that are different, but for me spelling my massively long name was just so hard that my kids are getting short names where people won't shout out 'shakida' instead of shaheeda. i have no idea how people get it so wrong cos my name is 'say as you see it' but there you go! xx

MY first name is really wacked. No one could pronounce it, and it took me forever to learn to spell it, too! I go by my middle name, actually ...I'm changing my first name to Amy. LOL!

Ok. Since this has kinda' become my pregnancy thread, I'll update!
I left a message for my OBGYN to call me back regarding why hormone tests have NOT been done on me when I'm elevated risk w/ PCOS, luteal phase defect, and have already had one early miscarriage! He told me to come in to get my hCG and progesterone checked...hummmm. Just what I asked the receptionist when she called to tell me the test was +, but she told me it's not standard until the first appointment!!!! Anyway, so Monday I am going in for my first tests.
Oh. He also complimented me on my home testing methods of using the pregnancy tests every couple days to make sure the hCG has been doubling. And he told me to continue using the progesterone cream until week 12. I'm so glad I've read so much on this stuff throughout the years! If I weren't using the progesterone cream, there is a chance this little baby could have not stuck, too!

Thanks! I haven't had endo symptoms since I started my diet, so I don't know if I will be able to judge whether or not being pregnant helps my endo. I'll have to be on the diet the entire time I'm pregnant so I don't get gestational diabetes or risk miscarriage. The only thing I'm scared of endo-wise is my intestines getting pulled every which way when they're adhered to my pelvic wall! Hopefully, the implants will shrink during my pregnancy.

LOL, maybe we should make a separate thread in the Just for Fun section about names, since it seems to be a hot topic. That way we can discuss names without the discussion being specifically aimed at ouchy...I don't want her to feel pressured to come up with a name everyone on the forum approves of, especially since i'm sure that would be impossible!

I just got my first round of tests back. Good news for now!!!! 23days past ovulation, my progesterone = 28!!! (Around 10 and you have to worry.) 23days past ovulation, my hCG (preg. hormone) = 2856. What it means: My progesterone level is sitting pretty for now. My OBGYN told me not to quit taking the progesterone cream, though, bc I could risk miscarriage. I will know more about the hCG level when I get Thursday's upcoming test results back. If the level doubles, that is a GREAT sign that everything is going smoothly for now. <--the level has been doubling on my test strips, though.
