If you're thinking about progestin only pill, those often have the worst side effects since there's no estrogen to balance things out. But if you have a history if migraines, that's something you'll have to weigh with your doc.

Hi, A Some of you may know my gyne has recommended I take birth control for two months back to back to see if that helps with my pain. Anyways since staying the pill pain has not lessened...I have one week left to pill on this pack and then I haveto start another one right away with no break...just wondering if any one else he's Done this and what your experience was. Did you skip a full period?? I technically should get my period next week and go on holidays when I am due to he finished...my worry is if I take the pill right threw my body will get all screwy and I will still get a period but bee late and end up on it while on holidays..which will rot me to no end!! They say if you go right through with your pills you stop a period from happening all together for that month..is that definite?? As I bee up for that..mind ya still having pain though, as always. Also have anyone experienced any side effects of taking birth control continuous for a couple months? Please any advice needed as really struggling with what to do...

I am in a similar situation, it seems that getting on this continuous birth control pill is making my endo symptoms so much worse. Then she is trying a new pill and increased the proestrin (sp) levels and whoa, it's not helping. The pain is constant now and in my lower back and upper legs which is a new thing. It seemed that being off any BC pill was better than this, and so I believe I'll be coming off of them. I guess you never know what will happen with these things. I haven't had a period but one of my symptoms is heavy discharge and it has increased also along with the pain. I don't understand how it would make the endo worse, but there's so much I don't understand about this still! Now I'm weary of trying hormones, but I will probably stop taking them and go back to having monster periods and ovulation pain, haha.

Hey
My gynae has siggested this same thing continuous BC for 3 months then break...so on n so forth...truth be told im very sceptical as have had BC previously many years ago and it didnt help which is why I don't want to try it again however as ive tried many of the options available as gynae said it seems im in a corner...if I thought it would help me n work id jump right in....since my last lap (3rd July) I haven't took any hormones just pain relief (morphine n morphine based) pains are still there there are some new pains as gynae believes I have adeno as well as endo still get periods that are excruciating...has anyone had luck with continuous BC ? The only options ive been given that are left for me is have a baby or continuous BC or go back on zoladex for upto 2 years with HRT to help minimise side effects and the only one I havent tried is baby...hubby's completely against that 1 but doesnt quite get why im completely against or atleadt sceptical about the other 2?! For 10 years (am now 25) ive had some sort bc or hrt to help bleeding n pains up until now n I feel that maybe my body needs a rest n to be its own for once id love to try Pelvic PT but as I cant work atm I cant afford to do it privately...
