I am on BCP, starting after the 1st cycle after my surgery to remove chocolate cyst/ovary/tube. There is still a lot of endo left, my rectum/ovary/uterus are all adhesed together along with more chocolate cysts. With the most recent period, my doctor is trying me on the generic for Nuerontin (sp) It is an anti-seizure drug that is also used to help with nerve pain. I think it may have helped to keep the pain from getting out of control, especially on the 1st & 2nd day when it can be unbearable. This time on the 1st day, I only took 1 Nuerontin & 1 Vicodin & it lasted from morning till the evening!
It may also be w/ the help of the Birth Control Pills, just finished my 3rd month of them. Additionally I use Ibuprofen and Vicodin, especially on the 1st 2 days.

I'm glad to hear you made it through the day..on a day 1. That is a success! Most people don't realize it but I know how that feels!

I agree with Trish. I am only 29yo but my medicine cabinet looks like an 80yo. I have endometriosis and had a lap last year. I also have some sort of autoimmune disease causing inflamation on top of the regular, awful endo pain. I use heating pads, pain medication (oxycodone), NSAIDS, and have tried diet changes. How does everyone cope with this pain. Some days I cannot get out of bed it is so bad. I have already done a round of Lupron and gained 30lbs. I am looking for a good support system- any suggestions?

I'm on a regiment of Perscription Motrin during the day and Percocet as needed during the night. Just took my first Percocet and its really helping thank goodness. Right now I'm curled up with a heating pad browsing the internet and trying to distract/feel better/fall asleep.

Well here is my list.
What doesn't/hasn't helped Tylenol Advil Tylenol 3 (helps a little but the constipation makes the pain worse) Continual birth control pills (tried this twice) Celebrex (upset the stomach) Lupron (6 months of injections and no relief, made me a bit crazy emotionally when I stopped it)
What has helped Naproxen (a little) Oxycodone (takes the edge off) A muscle relaxant which I can't remember the name of (I tried on whim and was surprised that it provided relief but it makes complete sense when you think about it)
Natural Supplements Evening Primrose Oil (helps a bit) I take B vitamins because of heaving bleeding I just started Spirulina (vitamin full of nutrients which is supposed to help with energy (I have none) Estrosense (not much help here unfortunately) Acidopholis (helps with digestion issues)
There are others but I can't remember them all sadly. I envy those of you that don't have extreme pain with your endo but I'm happy it doesn't effect us all this way. Stay strong and carry on!
