Don't feel silly, and be prepared for anything. My doc didn't feel anything on exam and I was already down an ovary and some colon, but there was six hours of excision work to do! There really is no way to know, and you're doing the right thing. Most folks are out in under three hours, so I'm going to hope for that for you! Good luck, I'll be thinking of you!

It'll be interesting to see how right he is! Regardless, you're in a lot of pain and need surgery for the hernia at a minimum. Might as well have the best surgeon take a look around while you're in there! You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow!

My surgery went really well. It lasted to hours and then I spent most of the afternoon recovering. I got one of those milk shakes Jess was raving about and I was able to have some soup as well.
So here's the crazy past. I don't have endo on my bowel and probably never did. I haven't been able to see my operative report, but Dr. Redwine told my Mom that my endo was confined to my pelvic region. He didn't see any endo on my diaphragm either.
I want to write more lol but I am so drugged up I can barely think straight. I'll post more when I get my operative report back. Thanks for all the well wishes today. It really means a lot to me.

Thanks ladies. I slept some last night, but the pain has been pretty intense. Dr. Redwine is giving me a refill from the percocet I already have. He said it's really important to stay on top of the pain. I made that mistake during my first lap and that was a major no no. Dr. Redwine has been really wonderful to my Mom and I. Yesterday before my surgery he came in to talk to me and I was crying. I told him it was my pre surgery meltdown and he laughed. He came by my bed and squeezed my arm and told me he would take good care of me. Dr. Redwine told my Mom yesterday that he was able to excise all my endo. He thinks this will make a big difference for me and pain levels. I had my post surgery shower this morning and it felt wonderful. My Mom's going to go get some breakfast for here pretty soon. I haven't eaten a full meal since Sunday night so I'm starving. Other then that I just plan on resting for the remainder of my time here. I have my post op apt. with Dr. Redwine on Friday at 8:30 am and he will go over my surgery and what he found. Then I will fly back to Denver really early Sunday morning. PS. I get to meet Jess today!!

Stay on top of the pain for sure!! I'm not sure if I made that mistake my first surgery, or if it was because my surgeon sucked, but I was in pain and swollen for 2 weeks. The 2nd time was not nearly as bad!
So glad things are going pretty well. Hang in there.
