It sounds like with accupuncture and a few meds as needed for pain you could be on the right track. Accupunture and massage can give great relief for pain. Another thing you may want to try is the TENS machine I think Helen has one and uses it we may have a thread on it too I will look for you. Your back pain could be caused by a inverted or tilted uterus from your endo. It sounds like that maybe what it is has your doctor mentioned that? You should find out lower back pain? Discuss that with your doctor alot of us have that issue and it causes pain when its tilted. Endo is heavy and move your organs out of place sometimes the endo covers the uterus and it tilts the uterus back in a abnormal position. Mine was like that when I had it and the back pain was HORRIBLE.

Yes, I do have a tilted uterus and I was getting Mayan massage for it for two months. I then went to get an exam and the first thing the lady said to me was " wow your pretty tilted". So I felt like the Mayan massage didn't do anything. Thanks for the info on the TENS machine. I will have to check it out. Is that like the electric stim you get from the chiro? Once my back chills out a bit I'm going to go and get an adjustment too.

Yes, TENS & electric stim are similar, only TENS isn't as intense from what I understand. I LOVE that electric stim machine...

so like I need one more thing.... I am on two narcotics, and I use to have very loose bowel movements, and I would have to go sometimes 3 to 4 times a day. Well last week it happened, I got extremely constipated, so I started taking Metamucil, and now have softer BM`s. But on Saturday I started bleeding, I know that it is from straining last week and that it is Hemroids, but I can`t get into the doctor until Friday. I will continue with the metamucil, I have stopped taking my narcotics, so I am in alot of abdominal pain. This just sucks.

I am so sorry to hear that. It sucks! It's strange how it's either one way or the other. Good luck on Friday. I always think on Monday's that Friday is almost here. The week will fly by and you will be fixed in no time. Hang in there!

I've always been told my uterus was very tilted as well. Then after my surgery, doc said it's not so much tilted as my cervix was stuck down to the bottom of my pelvis. So if that was your situation, no amount of massage would un-stick it, maybe loosen up the adhesions, but it would remain tilted... just my 2 cents... Pretty

Hi, I used to have painfull and bloody movements regularily before having my son 7 years ago, I had no idea until recently that this was probably my endo, I was only diagnosed 3 years ago. When I queried it with my GP, she thought it was haemeroids and treated me for that. I worked out that it only occurred during ovulation and decided it was probably cysts, and as it went away after a couple of days I decided it prob wasn't anything too serious.
I haven't suffered with this since having my son - I don't know what changed.

I had it today, and I really didn't know what to think of it. Today is day 3 of my period. I secretly wanted to box it up and send it to the doctor I had to deal with today who thought I was only in his office to try and get drugs! (Gross yeah, I know...desperate times, desperate measures)

It's started back for me. Not major, but enough to make you do a double take. And my period isn't due for a good week.

Yeah, I used to have loads of rectal pain and bleeding before my op. It's been over a year and a good 5 months now since I came off Provera, it's probably just the damn endo coming back. I've 'been' this morning and there was none. I'll keep an eye on it and mention it to docs/gynae if it gets any worse. It's a relatively small amount and bright red and fresh so I'm not stressing too much. When I had my sigmoidoscopy in Sept 2009 and they found nothing I asked about the bleeding and pain and they just said 'some people have that'. Crap, I know, but like I say I'm not overly fretting about it. I found out at my last gynae appt that I had/have endo in PoD so it's probably just that building up again. Sigh.

I was bleeding from the bowels for about 2 weeks straight before my emergency surgery. went to gastronologist who originally thought it was chrones or colitis. when I got extremly sick from the colonscopy he ordered, that is when I knew something was wrong. went to ER later than night in extreme pain, operated 3 days later, and that is when they found it was really endometrosis. and I was officially diagnosed on Sept 13, 2010.

i have bowel issues too!!! i have been starting to bleed since ummm november/december last year. it was really bad once everything in the toilet was red, that was scary, so after a lovely colonoscopy all they found was a few very small hemoroids (spelling?) so the bleeding comes and it goes. pretty much all my bowel movement leave me very sore even the more loose ones. sorry if its too much info hehe

Danni - I just read your intro thread. You know, they may say it's hemmorhoids but many of us endo girls, me included, have rectal bleeding on our cycles. I would encourage you to do some reading on here about all the things that go with endo and maybe then you will feel differently about having a lap. There may be bowel involvement with your endo, and that's really worth looking into. Sometimes it's better to just know what's up than possibly have really bad problems later, from waiting.... not trying to scare you , just want you to be prepared and have the best chances to be healed and sorted out... I agree with Pretty. They said I had a haemorrhoid but they also said that haemorrhoid hadn't bled recently - this was right in the middle of some of the worse bleeding I've had. Since then, although I'm still pre-lap, we know there's endo in my bowel and as I still get bleeding I'm sure it's the endo not the haemorrhoid. Definitely worth checking out again
