Last night I was up with incredible pain I used my CD that Karen gave me after my hysterectomy and used breathing techniques to control it and it went away. I can still feel pain but not near as bad as last night. I had a bm today and it is black. I did not feel pain with the bm but since last night was so bad I googled black stool and it says could be caused from food, iron supplements or old blood being in the GI tract. This is what I found first search ibdcrohns.about.com/cs/otherdiseases/a/blackstool.htmI am not taking iron and have not ate any of those foods. I was bloated all day yesterday and had not had a bm at all yesterday I am not even sure what to make of this. I am gonna call the doc monday if it continues I may go into the ER this weekend but want to hold off if I can. Sounds gross but I know they will want a sample should I collect one?

Uh, oh, Keri. I had blood in my stool ages ago and googled it and I know black, tarry stool isn't good, though I don't quite remember what causes were. Is there a nurse on call line that you can call to determine if they think it's worth going in right away or waiting?

I am going to call if I see it again. I do not have a bm everyday so not sure when the next one will be. The cramping from a month ago when I went to NYC has been a issue but seems more at night. I stopped taking the TY PM as I was afraid it was causing the stomach pains. The CD was a great help thanks so much for it Karen. My nights are much more difficult because daytime I keep so busy and keep a happy face on. I feel like I can wait it out but if the pain starts up like last night I will be calling the nurse line.

I am calling monday. I am bloated again no bm yet tho so not sure about the black stool. I gave the bentyl a shot for a few weeks and it is not helping so its best just to get this all looked at by my GP till I get in to see a bowel specialist.
On a different topic but related to health I had a tarot card reading last night and palm reading and she named every single problem I had. It was a amazing! My girlfriend was with be and was in shock. She new of my endo, my bowel issues, my entire list of problems. I am a believer so if your not you may think she is full of it but a palm tells alot about a person. She knew I had a son and lost due to my issues. She pulled a very dark card tho for my future and it is one of the worst cards in the deck the Ten of Swords. She said dark times are coming and could be health related. She gave me feb, march and april to watch for this and said although it is the worst card and I will be hitting the bottom I have a drive in me that will lift me up. It was a wake up call for me in a sense. She said I push thru everything but ignoring issues can cause major problems. By the end of the reading I was a ease the strange part that she no way could of known is my GP wants me to see a bowel doc in NY in january and said if I have surgery it would be sometime in feburuary. Hmmmm....

Waited all day for Gp to call and when they did she said call my GI doc. So I did as soon as I got off the phone with the GP. Waited then called again to make sure they heard my message. The nurse said the receptionist was gone but he would want to see me a most likley do another colonoscopy on me. I had one about 4 years ago and she said it sounds like something is going on so to call in the morning to schedule at appt or if doc just wants to do the colonscopy then I will be put on the books this week. He does procedures on thursday which means another day off work. And with the mix they give me it takes me a few days to recover so prob looking at monday before I feel normal if I have the procedure done. He is really good about getting me in. He always says why wasted a appt trip if you need a procedure I will save you time and money and just schedule it. He is the indian doc that only recently started talking to me he used to only talk to my husband about me like I was not there. LOL I think we have warmed up to each other. Last procedure for my esphagus he was so happy to see me like I was a old friend asked about the library, Jacob and held my hand til I feel asleep. Im still in pain and bloated and have no desire to eat. Infact I feel like I want to puke but I took a zofran to try to calm my tummy a little and maybe knock myself out but its not working. Im exhausted no sleep and lack sleep causes a headache for me which usually means a seizure is near. Im trying to keep my mind off it all with tutu making and movies.

Well, I'm glad he's going to get you in soon. I'm sure a colonoscopy isn't fun by any means, but here's hoping it reveals something, and something that can be dealt with quickly!
Sending big hugs your way, Keri!!

Thanks Karen. Im huge think this time it is the biggest and no bm since the black stool. I have a slight fever. I can feel spasms every so often feels like a stab. I have in the last month felt it on both sides. Im gonna jump in the bath try to warm my back with the heating pad and may take a demerol the pain meds can make this all worse tho and am aware of that so not sure I will even do it but I need to rest even if for a little. A seizure with this is the last thing I need right now. I had a coloscopy before and they said IBS LOL ya well we all know it was endo. So not sure what this one will tell. The colonoscopy shows the inside of the bowels not the outside so what the heck will that do? I wonder if they can do a lap at the same time to look at both in and out. If I can get my Obgyn in the room at the same time I wont have to go under twice. Like that would happen tho, Im gonna have to talk to him more about it. They are all aware of the Keri issues. I think each one of them prob tells all the other docs stay away from her LOL! The Stark County Anestesiologist are all aware of my problems we had to call for Jacob when we thought he may have a hand surgery and the doc call the department and the entire team was researching my episodes he said I am one of Cantons little med journal studies HAHA.. Dr. D refers to me as his special patient. Special prb really means PROBLEM;)

Heading to the ER. Doc wants me to go so I am waiting on my husband to see when he is done. No way can I go alone if they give me meds and I have a reaction the docs will have no idea what I am saying.

I never really thought about it as bleeding from my bowels, but every once in a while when I have a BM, there will be a tiny little bit of blood on the tissue. I always thought it was from pushing too hard or something, but sometimes it happens when I'm not constipated. Think this is a reason for concern?

My GP sends me to my GI doc and my GI doc sends me to the ER....I was there til 1:30 am the ER doc seemed annoyed I was there. He said why did you come here? Ummm my GI doc told me to! He gave me xrays to see if it was a bowel obstruction and it was not. When he found out I had endometriosis he said well you prob have a flair up. He said alot about just taking my demerol and didnt get that the reason I was afraid because of the possible obstruction that drug causes. I was in so much pain that they gave me demerol by IV and that left me catatonic and speechless for 20 minutes. Literally drugged speechless! I couldnt say a word. The nurse and doc both knew I was sensitive to meds she pushed it thru slow and I thought all should be good but once my husband came to the room he said I was unresponsive. The nurse said to him well sir her heart and bp are fine. Once I could talk the only word that would come out was Im tired. I slept woke up got results and they sent me home the doc said you need a colonoscopy and wants me to see my GP. LOL ummm cirlce here that is where I started to begin with calling my GP! I left in pain, bloated, and pissed oh and tired. He did mention I am anemic. I just laughed I had already told them that when I came in. Oh and they took a pregnancy test too OMG I have no UTERUS people! I was told Im not pregnant. Thanks for the info dumb a~~! When I vented to the nurse how frustrated I was she said have you considered a hysterectomy! Are you serious....I wanted to say F Off but explained I have already had one. I guess reading charts is not required? Or even looking at the history of a patient. It was rather disturbing to say the least.

Wow. Just awful. Please consider filing a complaint? Their lack of even basic understanding about your current medical conditions is disgusting, Keri!
So now what, wait for the colonoscopy?
