I actually started suffering from sever migraine when I started ovulating at age 11. I also suffered severly painful periods, but thought that was normal. Migraines have been a constant plague in my life and unfortunately make me ineligible for birth control to treat my endo, even depo made my migraines worse. So Lupron is my last resort and I can't have add back therapy because of the migraines to reduce the side effects. So I definitely feel your pain. I'm just hoping the lupron will help with my endo pain and as a happy side effect relieve my migraines as well. That would make the hotflashes, fainting and insomnia worth it to kill two birds with one stone! Just be very careful, certain kinds of hormones can greatly increase your risk for stroke. If all else fails ask your doc for fiornol C. It's a heavy duty pain killer for migraine, but sometimes you just have to pull out the big guns!

Ooh. I love both fiorinol and fioricet. What is in "fiorinol C?"

lol! Ah yes, my little blue life saver!!! Fiorinol C is just fiorinol with 30 mg of codeine. It's my last resort pill when the imitrex and maxalt fail...if I can keep it down that is. It would be great if they made little shots for it like Imitrex. If I do manage to keep it down it works miracles. If not I resort to gravol suppositories and then take it. Hey it 'aint pretty but you do what you gotta do...anything to avoid going to the emergency room!

Yeah, I've yet to meet a migraine that could stand up to a fiorinol C! lol =) If you get them tho...don't tell ANYONE you have them. Apparently they are worth a pretty penny on the street. I've had my script stolen twice. Once at a party out of my bag...right outta my little pill tin...funny, they left the zantac and immodium. Hmmm. lol =) Yeah, they knew exactly what they were looking for. Another time a whole bottle, right outta my medicine cabinet in my bathroom! I have my suspicions of who the culprit is but of course no proof. Can you believe that? Stealing your friend's medication??? Anyway, just thought I'd warn you in case you have some rather "hard partying" friends like I do... or did!

LOL. Thanks for the warning! I actually think that a co-worker of mine a couple years ago (a hippie in his 50's!) stole a brand new bottle of Vicodin out of my purse when I went out for my walk on my break time! Crazy, huh!

Does the Florinol C make you sick to your stomach? I've heard several people mention "keeping it down". I'm very sensitive to pain meds and they often make me very ill. I'm going to the doctor today to talk to her about the very frequent migraines I've been getting. I've only tried Imitrex before and it made me feel really crazy. That was about 5 years ago and since then, I've just dealt with the migraines by sleeping. That's not always possible though, and I know nothing about any of the other meds available.

Florinol C I have never heard of it? I am also very sensitive to meds as anyone who read my Aphasia post knows. Topamax was one drug I tried for Migraines and Imitrex both gave me the same problem I was unable to speak I wonder if Florinol would help? I will mention it to my Dr. When I get a migraine I am stuck in my room with the lights off and the blinds pulled for days sometimes it is horrible! I had no idea that Endo was related to migraines? Wow thanks for the info girls:)

^Well, but then again, even men without endometriosis get migraines.

It doesn't necessarily mean they're related.

I agree, it doesn't necessarily mean the two are related, but there are a lot of other health issues people with and without endo face and sometimes, they are related to endo. A lot of people have bowel and digestive problems, but for a lot of people like us, those problems are related to endo. But yeah, migraines could be related. Who knows really?

Maybe a brain biopsy would work to see if it is endo causing migraines

Yeah that's a good idea, now we'll just have to find a volunteer!

I nominate whoever has the worst headaches and thinks they're endo-related!
