Hi,
Its for months I have had many changes in my body, I noticed that I had a increase in discharge and heavier periods, blood clots and as time passed things kept getting worse, then one day i had pain during urination, i have had so many test done, for UTI and STI's and they come back negative, except for a paps test done where it showed that I was at a low risk for cancer as they detected a few simple squameous cells. Now I notice that I bleed for longer periods but the urinating pain has gotten almost unbearable. I notice this more a few days before my period and it gets increadbly painful on the last day of my period. This is affecting my personal life and my career. I would like to add though that i have increase my intake on fruits by doing a juice everyday and this last period my bleeding was alot lighter and less painful, however the nausea and painful urination was still there. I feel the pain mostly after I urinate and a burning sensation that last for hours. Does anyone else have these symptoms?

Well, weird/ painful urination can definitely be a sign of endo.... I had a few UTIs over time but sometimes even when I didn't have one there would be pain. Make sure you have a good gynae who understands endometriosis. During my surgery, my ureter was found to be displaced because of endo so who knows? However, I had the run around from quite a few doctors for years about my bladder problems until finally having it confirmed recently that it was being caused by the endo!! Although surgery can possibly help, my advice is to continue with the dietary trend you have started. Fruits have a high sugar content so you should have some but limit them to the morning if you can. Try vegetable juices as well, and cut your wheat and dairy.... Green juices are also fabulous for cancer prevention. Do them in your blender and juicer and drink them right away if possible to get the goodness of the enzymes and everything. Will keep you posted on my progress! Good luck! Will keep you posted and hope this helps.

Hi All, I had some serious painful urination prior to Lupron treatment. I had tears everytime I went pee. I took urlistat like it was going out of style and then one day I realized it wasn't a UTI. It was the endo...yes, another fun side effect! I haven't had any painful urination in about 1 1/2 years since I've been off the Lupron-so I guess that was probably the only good thing Lupron was good for.

^I think that was the same thing the b.c. pills did to me (what the Lupron did to you)! Since I quit the high-progestin pills, urination is not something I'm scared of any longer!

Hi, not sure where to put this but I have a scan coming up of my bladder and kidneys to rule out anything else on top of the endo which could be causing me pain. But my question is this, does anyone have any tips for how they cope best with an ultrasound scan around that area. It's just that this area of my tummy is so tender to the touch, and i had an ultrasound when I was 14 which was uncomfortable so I am dreading it. I mean I am panicking that I'll start crying cos i can imagine it will hurt that bad. I have considerable pain when I pee or when my bladder gets close to being full, so I think drinking 2 pints of water an hour beforehand and being expected to hold it in while someone presses on it will be hellish! Appreciate any tips xx

I know what your saying....I cringe everytime....my dr. would say that I need a pelvic ultra sound......by the time I would get there...I would be crying and visit the bathroom plenty of times....before the ultra sound...and my bladder would still be full.....thats the worst test I could ever go threw....so alls I can say is Good Luck

I have that same feeling. I had the laposcopic procedure done a little over a year ago. I constantly feel like I have to go the bathroom. I know I don't have a bladder infection that the doctor confirmed that. I'm just wondering if I need another clean out like it is all building up again. I had the laposcopic procedure done due to that I had a large cysts on my right ovary, that's when the doctor had discovered that I had endometriosis.

Before I had my acupuncture and herbal treatments I was getting terribly painful urination before during and just after my period. It was at its worst at the end and just after the period. It go so bad once, I saw a nurse at a walk-in centre before driving down to my mums which took and hour and a half. The nurse could see how much pain I was in but the urine didn't test positive for any proteins which indicate a uti and therefore couldn't give me any antibiotics. So I drove home (stopping twice along the way). When I got back I went to the bathroom and found I urinating agonising and there were large clots of blood coming out too! I had to go to the hospital and again no proteins found but gave me anti-biotics to clear it up. Not sure if it was those that cleaerd or the simple fact of the progression of my cycle but having that happen every month was pretty scary. I found that none of th eover the counter remedies worked for me. What I do now if I feel one starting is:
Dissolve 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda into a pint of water and stir. Drink this as quickly as you can and then follow it with another pint of plain water. Keep up the intake of water constantly and though you will pee alot, it will ease the pain. Repeat the bicarb of soda 2 - 3 times a day. Do NOT drink any fruit juices, tea, coffee, alcohol, or cranberry juice which is seen as a natural remedy. Cranberry juice is good as a preventitive but not during a uti as it is very acid. Also, take Uva Ursi on a regular basis. Whilst I was experiencing these symptoms, I took 2 a day but you can take up to 6 when you are having a uti. Hope this helps xx

Hi All - remember this may not be a uti. I had endo inside of my bladder and 1/3 of my bladder had to be removed. They found the endo inside my bladder by doing a scope inside my bladder during surgery - this procedure can be done without surgery. I highly recommend it. It wasn't a great surgery but since I have no bladder issues at all, no need to pee all of the time, no urge to pee and nothing comes out, no contractions after, and best of all no blood clots in my urine. I wish I would have gotten mine checked out sooner and I maybe could have saved more of my bladder.
