I went to dinner tonight with a few coworkers and a candidate for a new position. She flew in for the interviews tomorrow and HR wanted us to take her out and show her around a bit since she's never been to our city before. (HR also wanted her to see that there are several other women working at our company, which is rare for construction!) We took her to one of my favorite places in town, and even before our food came, my tummy was NOT happy. It came out of nowhere but it was so bad it was making me sweat! So embarrassing. I didn't cheat at all despite eating out and it calmed down a little bit, but man, it's still not happy. Oh, and I'm bloated beyond belief - came out of nowhere. Not cool. I have a feeling I'll wake up in the middle of the night with some serious urgency.

Karen, that is so awful when going out, and particularly meeting new work people. How did last night go? is your tummy ok?

I had some nasty gas but surprisingly, no urgency. In fact, I'm still constipated. I can't figure my bowels out...

I'm sorry, gas with no action is almost worse than a big blow out. Here's to a BM in your future.

Sorry to say it, but I'm here to blow off some steam... I'm really frustrated with a close friend right now. A little info first -- she is basically my best friend at this point, we met in September and became close friends instantly. Our friendship is great because it's very drama free, we never argue or fight or engage in gossip or anything. We just enjoy each others' company. We chatted all day yesterday like we usually do and then I went to bed. I woke up to a message that she sent at 2am last night that said "I have a PIT in my stomach and I can't even tell you why " .. I was initially worried of course, so I asked her about it and then she backpedaled and said to forget it, and that she didn't want to tell me because it roundaboutly involves me. Of course I can't just forget it now! I care a lot about how I impact others. So I questioned her a bit more, and what I've come up with is that 1)it's embarrassing for her, 2)it's not my fault, 3) I didn't "DO" anything (emphasis just like that.. almost implying that i did something, but perhaps not literally, 4) she'll tell me if it comes up again/happens again but for now she thinks it's fine, 5) sh wont tell me because she doesnt want drama, 6) she doesnt want to tell me because she doesnt want to offend me or be rude, it happened last night, and it may or may not involve another person. I'm really kind of pissed off, because basically now she threw me into this paranoid sick mess where I'm freaking out that I've upset her or someone else and I think it's really immature and inconsiderate to SAY something to me about it and then refuse to tell me anything else about the situation. I'm trying really hard not to get mad at her, because I think me being mad right now could possibly amplify the situation. It's just funny because in "not wanting drama" she is actually causing it. Blah.

Wow that's a really immature thing to do. Part of being an adult is being able to tell people how you feel and guide people to treat you how you want to be treated. She needs to be honest or not say anything at all if it's truly "not a big deal." I'm a firm believer in picking your battles but she shouldn't have drug you into paranoia if it was something she could easily forget.
I wanted to post quickly and say sorry for not being around lately! My antivirus software expired and I was too broke to buy a new one so I couldn't get on any websites for a while. I have finals next week so I won't be around much but as of Thursday I will be done with my degree!!!
Miss you all! I'll be back soon.

J- can you get it free from school? That's what I used to do.
Jess, did you ever get any more info on what your friend was talking about? I hate drama!

the tree pollen is dying down now, though still high, but teh grass pollen is out of control. Allergies piss me off too. It's the one batch of medicines I'm willing to take, because without them I'm lost. Hope hte lilacs get better soon, loveshoe!

Thanks Rustmyrtle! I'm a huge phlegm ball today, nothing is helping me......boo hoo. My eyes are burning too - I noticed our grass is seeding too so that's not helping. I used my netti pot earlier, guess I'll try again to clear more yuckies out.

Thanks Jenaya - I'll have to check out the local farmers markets when they open. There is a little driveway I pass by on my way home and they have a sign that says local honey but I'm like there is no price or anyting and I'd feel obligated to buy if it was some crazy high price so I'd rather know what the cost is first - I'm weird like that. My local pet food store sells a local honey but it's VERY expensive, like $20 for a small bottle....is local honey always so expensive?
