Thank you. She's on her way right now. I'm really grateful for her she's been really supportive.
Three more days till my procedure. I never thought I would be counting down the days till my colonscopy, but I'm ready to get it over with.

Are you still feeling the effects of acupuncture? I hope things aren't as bad as they were earlier in the week!

There definitely not as bad. The probiotic the Dr. gave me as well as the pain medication he gave as helped. Acupuncture makes a difference too. It seems to be food related as well. I notice more pain in my stomach if I eat something that isn't good for me.

Have you ever been tested for celiac? Or other food sensitivities at all? A naturopath may be better suited to help you with that. Of course, you could always do an elimination diet to figure things out for yourself?
Whatever the case, glad things aren't quite so bad. Hope you get some answers this week!

I did get blood tested for celiac and it came back negative. My doctor is going to do a biopsy to make sure when he does my colonscopy. I'm planning on rescheduling with my naturopath once I get all of this over with.
I've done the elimination diet for the most part. I know gluten and I aren't friends and it's looking that way with diary as well. Sometimes I'm fine with yogurt and things like that, but ice cream definitely makes me sick.
I've just had a lot of digestion issues. That's how this whole thing started. Even when I eat the right things according to the endo diet I bloat up and have a bunch of bowel issues. It could be that I have other food allergies and hopefully the naturopath could help me with that.

I discovered some odd food sensitivities beyond the endo diet when my doc tested me for them and feel so much better after cutting them out. I hope you are able to pinpoint more things & feel better as a result!

You know when I started the endo diet, I had all kinds of digestion issues. It really messed me up at first. I just concluded that it was too much too fast. So I fell off the diet for a while and then did the slow elimination. My body can't handle being completely on the endo diet. I start getting crazy digestion issues. I think it's just the change that messed me up. It was way too drastic.

The endo diet is a great way but I believe changing it in a drastic way can really mess you up. Like any diet chage do it slowly. A food journal is awesome help keep track of all the bad foods that make you sick. Good Luck with the colonscopy the prep is worse than the procedure itself while they are in there be sure to tell them to remove anything odd they see even if it just a internal hemroid or something simple. Awww it breaks my heart when I read of GI issues brings me to a place of wanting to yell WHY cant we eat! I feel for you hun and wish you the best~

The first time I tried the endo diet I went cold turkey and that didn't work for me. The second time I took it pretty slow and eliminated wheat first then a couple weeks later most dairy.I've eliminated soy which was pretty easy because I never ate much of that. It's within the past month that my bowel/digestion issues have gotten so bad.
If my colonscopy comes back fine. I'll probably do an MRI and then schedule with a naturopath. I don't really know what else to do. I just know I don't want to continue to feel the pain and discomfort I've been having so much lately.
Thanks Keri for the advice. I hadn't even thought of an internal hemroid.

I'm a grouchy girl right about now so excuse my venting. I haven't been able to eat since 9:30am in order to prepare for the procedure tomorrow. I have to starting drinking everything in a half an hour which is fine I'm just going to lay in bed since I have a bathroom in my room.
I lit a candle and put on some relaxing music. I'm just irritated since I haven't eaten. My friend called me a few minutes ago to tell me about another scholarship she had gotten for college. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for her, but it just pisses me off. She gets scholarships and gets to go to school and I get to deal with my health issues every damn day. Bleh. I know I'll get through this just fine and eventually I can go back to school too. I'm just Ms. Cranky Pants right now and hearing that didn't really help.

You be Miss Cranky Pants all you want today. You're about to empty your bowels. You have every right to be pissed off...

Well it could be worse... I'm doing prep for my sigmoidoscopy (clear liquid diet) tonight and I have a final grading draft for my english essay due. I"M SO HUNGRY! Its hard to think when your hungry. I feel for you though and we can mourn our sore bums together, (just kidding!) I went on a weekend trip after my colonoscopy and It was fine so, deep breath, we can do this. I just realised it was a year ago this weekend that I did my other test. It took me a year to get over the idiot who did my first one. Just please don't be to disappointed if it doesn't show anything. Unfortunetly many don't, and it doesn't mean there isn't something totally wrong on the outside of the bowel that is causing awful problems! I just remember how sure I was that they were going to find something and then they didn't but the problems didn't magically dissapear just because my Gi doc said there wasn't anything wrong! Good luck! Did you buy lots of witch hazel or wipes? They are a must for bowel prep

I have baby wipes all ready. I'm almost half way through the nasty stuff.
I'm starving too. I told my Mom tomorrow after this is all over I'm going to eat everything in sight. I'm sorry you are dealing with all of that while have to write a paper omak.
At this point I'm almost betting the test isn't going to show anything. My acupuncturist is almost positive that it's IBS and that doesn't show up in colonscopies.
