Okay - period is finally over and I'm no longer feeling sick to my stomach, but the endo pain is still going strong. Figuring I'll start taking the pills again just to see if it contributed to my stomach problems. I've been off for about three days now. I admit, I'm a little nervous but I REALLY WANT THIS TO WORK!!!!

I want it to work too! I was really hoping everyone would get the same results I did. Maybe try to eat before you take the pill and see if that works.

I did take it with food before - my stomach is just really sensitive. It's awful! Just took it again - on an empty stomach to see if that makes a difference. Figure I'll eat in a little while and see what happens. I'm so glad it's still working for you Jenaya! With all your dealing with, I'm sure it feels great to have SOMETHING working. I'm still praying for you. )

Aw thank you! Things are going rather well now actually. Now that school is over everything is a lot easier to deal with. I'm going to send you some of my L-Carnitine vibes your way. LOL

Info I came across said it works best on an empty tummy, but if you're sensitive then maybe best to have it with food.

Empty stomach seems to be working better. Today is day 3 (again) and so far my stomach is doing well. In fact, last night I went to bed after midnight and woke up this morning, on my own, at 6:30 am. I was ready to get out of bed! Maybe this stuff is working after all. It's just less intense the older we are? (I just turned 42)

So glad you're starting to feel some effects! It took me 5 days to feel anything and I'm (almost) 30.

I had stopped taking this stuff right before my surgery and wasn't on it for a month during my recovery. Yesterday I had a pretty long day to face going to my husband's coworker's new home so I decided to start taking them again. I didn't feel a sudden surge of energy but I did notice that I didn't wear out so fast. She had a 19 month old little girl that I ended up getting stuck with while she unpacked more crap (trust me, I was so f**king mad) but surprisingly I was able to chase her around for a few hours and not tire out. I also didn't need a nap yesterday for the first time since my surgery. Then to top it all of, I had enough energy to keep me up late too. I still swear by this stuff. I wouldn't have survived the day yesterday without it.

Aw, I wish it worked for me... I ran out and haven't bought more because I didn't notice much. Maybe I'll try again once a few other things are sorted out for me!

I love these things. I would walk out of the house stark naked before I would walk out without taking my ALC/ALA! that and the complex vitamin B have made me feel at least 80% human, most of the time--at least as far as the fatigue and the brain fog go.

I was wondering if it was still working for you. How exciting! I keep forgetting to take it because I fell out of the routine. Which reminds me.......... gotta take the pill!

neato!! an herbalist recommended the ALC (didn't mention the ALA) for brain fog... i started taking it, and perhaps i have it to thank for increased energy, but i was on vacation at the time which i gave any and all credit to.
i was taking so many supplements, it became hard to tell what was doing what, and then i dropped them cold turkey after going broke. tomorrow i will begin again with multi-vitamin and ACL, this time with ALA, with renewed hope after reading this thread. thanks and congrats, chicas!
note: for those who haven't had success, also consider the manufacturer; i've recently heard about how many janky supplement makers there are out there.
