Omak I have a few suggestions #1 never call yourself fat! The first dress I posted was a plus size dress. The shirt dress can work for anyone just buy the right size. Here is great store that has stuff to look at and then when you resale shop you can find similar items that fit the budget www.lanebryant.com/sale/4053/index.catI buy second hand alot too. Love my consignment shop and I look at all the current styles and pick them up for half of what they are at the mall. Then when I am done with it I take it in and she sells it for me. I have to say it feels amazing to recycle clothes:) I always have a credit there too so its like Im not really buying so much. Never walk anywhere in scrubs LOL unless you are at work of course. To be honest with you I would buy the shirt dress and wear that to a interview depending on the accesories you could make it more business or throw leggings and boots and you have a casual look.

okay, thanks Keri, properly chastisted, my sister (who looks just like me) has made that a bad word in her house and I should know better. I like Lane bryant, and fashion bug. Don't buy there very often unless my sister is buying for me (which she sometimes does for birthdays! finding something soft for the sore bloated tummy and still crispy in plus sizes for interviews does pose some problems... I spent several hours looking through Lane bryant and fashion bug a few weeks ago for the interview but didn't find anything in my size that was also my color. Bloated tummy gets old...

Luckily, I have lost enough weight that my pants from when I weighed 20 pounds more are now baggy enough not to impinge (love that work) on the bloated period belly of the newer me. I just wear jeans and a top everyday, and unbutton the top button while I sit down. Sometimes I stick a heating pad under my shirt and hope nobody asks me to stand up. Sometimes I close my door to my office, just because I look so strange sitting here with my pants unbuttoned and my heating pad cord running out from under my shirt... LOL....

Lately, my bloating hasn't been quite as bad. I contribute it to 1. eliminating even more foods and 2. getting my hormones balance. Clothes are fitting so much better. But I don't feel like I'm out of the woods yet - I'm still super paranoid that I'll expand a lot again sometime soon!
Oh, and Pretty, one time my neighbor caught me with my pants unbuttoned! Our condos are adjacent to each other so when he stops over, he comes to my patio door, which is in full view of my desk. I was sitting at my desk with my pants unbuttoned and unzipped when he came over to chat! I had to stand up, kind of do a half turn around to do a quick zip, all before he had any idea!

The unbuttoned pants yep I do it too! Infact the other day I did it out of habit but I am not bloated and when I walked up the steps my pants fell down. My husband was behind me. I kept walking and by the time I was upstairs they were on the floor. LOL! He was like what are you doing. I said taking my pants off why? OMG it was so funny!

lol, I do it to, and forget and get up to go the bathroom and suddenly realize...Oops pants sliding down! Karen what kinds of food did you eliminate that helped with bloating? That would be helpful if I could figure out if it was food related. The doctor at first thought it might be? Do any of you find its related to how long your on your feet? The longer the day the worse the swelling?

I'd reccomend anyone check out the Waterfall Diet by Linda Lazarides, it's really informative about what can cause bloating and water retention in particular. It's similar to the endo diet, quite restrictive but I shed around 5 lbs in four days, even though I was eating plenty. My sore, tight bloaty belly went down too. I'm back on it as of today ready for my hols in 10 days!! Basically, no wheat, dairy, meat, caffeine, alcohol, sugar......it works though!

The longer the day the worse the swelling? I went on the insulin resistance diet. Before the diet, my weight would fluctuate 10lbs from day to day. Now, I don't have a problem at all. It basically limits your carbs, and teaches you to eat protein everytime you eat a carb. Then, of course, sugar is evil! Sugar made me bloat A LOT. Any food with a high glycemic index (foods that spike your blood sugar) is limited in the insulin resistance diet.

The swelly belly can sometimes be a hysterectomy issue. I do know that removing sugar and carbs in a healthy way has changed my bloating. Even years after a hysterectomy some woman still have the swelly belly tho even with diet change after a long day of running around. If you know you will be doing alot wear your binder. It holds it all together so while you are doing heavy activity you are getting support. I still use mine and my doctor said women use it for the rest of their life sometimes to help with the swelling and support your abdominal area. Its great to suck it all in too:)

Would you believe Watermelon has a high GI? But because it's mainly water you'd need to have a tonne of it for it to actually have the affect. Food can be so weird! Carrots too, but similar story. Fascinating stuff.

Wow, I didn't know that this is a common problem! My belly bloat is soooo embarrassing to me. I'm not overweight, really. Many people consider me slender, but my BMI is just normal (at least according to the Wii Fit ). I'm an avid exerciser. HOWEVER, my tummy bloats so much, it's painful! It looks awful-like a bubble on my lower stomach. I often buy pants one size bigger for my gut. I have 4-5 extra inches in the waistline of my pants just in case I start to bloat. Because the pants are a little big, it looks like I have ZERO arse. Sadly, elastic waistbands are my best friend. As for bathing suits-I buy only full coverage. Everyone is always shocked that I refuse to wear a bikini, but my lower belly looks abnormally puffed (to me), so I go for a full skirted tankini every single time. I'm off of wheat right now (for 1 week only) and hope that helps. I guess time will tell...

well that was fun... Its cold today and I tried to find a pair of pants to wear. I'm down to one pair that will fit my bloated tummy. I tried looking at walmart and they are doing a huge remodel so I couldn't find the womans section. Its going to be a long winter if I can wear only one pair every day. Stupid bloated tummy!

So the sugar is the culprit do you think Jenaya? I made the terrible mistake of having one cookie and now I can't stop. It's like I'm addicted or like I've got an obsession! The worst is that I sell them in my shop so they're right there, but they make too much money for us to get rid of!! AAAARRRGGH. Why is it so hard to be vigilant some weeks and not others? Soooo annoying.
