Celery and nettle tea are my go-to's for fluid retention. Hope it passes soon!

I'm so massively huge right now. I have been eating so much that I don't even fit into my clothes anymore. I had to get new clothes! I am HUGE and so uncomfortable. I have no idea how I gained so much weight in just one week.

I'm also ridiculously bloated and have been all week. Ugh I got on the scale and I've gained at least five pounds all of which I know is water weight. I just feel gross and want it to stop.

I feel your pain, ladies, I feel your pain...
0h, and I should add, if you think water weight is to blame, google 'body brushing'. I swear, it helps. I've been doing it twice a day to get things moving. It's super easy, super fast, and no drugs!

Ok, I think I'm on the way down now.. I'm only about 3 pounds away from my typical winter weight. Phew! Still feeling the bloat and feeling fat in my clothes, but not nearly as bad! 6+ pounds is a lot to gain!

I'm going to Hellfest, a festival in Clisson in France!! I'm incredibly excited, loads of my favourite bands are playing. However, I have a very long car journey there and back and quite a lot of walking with heavy things and I'm camping. I hope my endo behaves and doesn't give me a dodgy tummy, a feeling like a water infection and a shed load of pain like it has done today in the middle of a field in France surrounded by drunk men.

take a lunch box full of food and make sure you don't give it all away to drunken men lol. that's my downfall, I plan really well and then over share...
I love france, bands, drunken men, fields, and car trips. HOORAY hope you feel good the WHOLE TIME GEM!

I swear by it when I get this bad, though I often forget! I've been doing it twice a day since Sunday and already my thighs feel so much smaller. It's good even if you're not bloated, gets your lymph system working better so your body processes everything to, and firmer skin is a pleasant result! Even helps make my cellulite less noticeable...

Hello everyone, Im new to this site and wanted to introduce myself under the proper section, but this thread has really got my attention. I have been suffering with endo for 8 years and have had 3 laps done. The last was on Apr 18th 2011 w one of the specialists listed under your "endo specialists" section. He does excision w a laser. I have literally been bloated for about a year solid now and am at wits end. My pain is in my very lower left quadrant. My surgeon also took out my appendix as a prophylactic measure. Nearly 8 weeks post op and the pain is still there and now, a bit on the right as well. Surgery revealed extensive adhesions on my bowel (he removed). He also stated that while I did not have endo on my bowel.... that I had it around my bowel. Not sure exactly how thats possible. I do take BCP's continuously and have for about 8 years. About 3-4 years ago, I started eating what is essentially the south beach diet to cut out sugar and simple carbs and that completely got rid of my bloating till recently. Now, Ive been following the endo diet except for the red meat. Still no improvement. Do any of you have any tips or advice. @paintheseconds, I noticed that you have gone through a lap recently.... did the bloating ever get better after a bit of time? And karen.... you seem to know alot about natural therapies and hormones, any thoughts? Im having my hormone levels checked in about 2 weeks and will discuss natural progesterone w them. Ive also been told about the Elisa Act test (food allergy test) and am considering that. My colonoscopy last week was negative I just dont think that I should be having the pain at this point if he got all the endo..... Thanks to all of you in advance for any advice

I posted in your intro thread but wanted to follow up over here. I want to give you big props for being on the endo diet!! Some women refuse because they think they're giving up so much, but I find that I'm giving up so much of my life being in pain if I don't. So, big pat on the back for that!
So about that constant bloating... If it was just recently, I'd suspect your lap as part of the problem. Surgery, pain meds, etc. can all contribute to the temporary bloat, but if it's been ongoing for quite a while, there has to be some other reason. Are you still on BC? BC can, unfortunately, contribute to bloat.
Hormonal imbalance can, too. Hope the hormone test reveals something! If you're going to a standard GP or gyn, you may get some resistance, but know that there are plenty of docs out there that believe in balancing hormones instead of just over-riding them with BC. As you've picked up on, there's no turning back for me know that I've done all the research and reading!
Another thing to consider, which it sounds like you're on the right track, is a food sensitivity test. There may be things that your body just doesn't like, even if you're on the endo diet. Or is there any chance something that you eat on a regular basis has some off-limits ingredient that you weren't aware of? Scrutinize everything!
I hope you find something that helps with the bloat!!

What kind of brush do you use for body brushing? I would like to try it. I'm wondering if my hormones are off because the bloating has been pretty consistent lately. I want my appointment with my naturopath to hurry up and get here.

This is going to sound dumb, but I just bought a cheap shoe-shine brush! Does the trick. When's your next appointment?
