I swear by peppermint tea for nausea and bloating. I drink at least one cup a day. I find if I'm hungry it makes me feel more nauseas but after a meal is great I look quite pregnant at the moment!

Peppermint helps me too. Omak I hope the capsules worked out, let us know? They do tell us to have peppermint tea or mints to help with the wind after surgery after all. But for those of us with sensitive tummies, ulcers, damage due to long term use of NSAIDS, be careful and keep an eye out for stomach upset. After food is probably the best option. Yay peppermint, get in my bellyyyy.

I've been bloated pretty much constantly for the past couple of weeks. Nothing is working and I just want to cry. I don't know how normal this and it's driving me nuts. It makes me so uncomfortable.

I've been cheating on the diet like a hippie stoner with a bad case of the munchies. I've eaten cookies, milk (in a latte), candy, cheese, and mcdonalds. my tummy is poking out and my pants are too tight. I also had a familiar scary shooting pain inside my hoo ha and it's BACK ON THE DIET LOL! no more cheating. stress is not an excuse. reminding myself the diet is good, cheating is bad, feeling like a balloon = bad Pretty!

Hi Ladies, I was just wondering if anyone else experiences water retention along with their endo? I know most women get "bloated" around the time their periods start, but I am talking SWOLLEN ankles, feet, and hands. My ankles get so swollen about a week before my period that the blood vessels break and leave me with these beautiful purple ankles.....just wondering if anyone else had this, or if it is just me.

Trae,
I bloat very nicely with my period...it's one of the reasons my endo gets so aggravated. I have to take my rings off and keep my feet up under my desk, or it looks like I have sausage fingers and toes.
I don't eat salt or salty things on my period, and drink gallons of water. My doctor sometimes will give me Lasix to draw out some of the fluid.

It is so weird, when I was younger, the swelling was only in my fingers, but now my ankles are HORRIBLE...you can't even see the bones in my feet and ankles. I tried water pills, but all that did was make me pee a lot and didn't help with the swelling at all. I wore some compression socks too and that seemed to help a little, but it is just so strange.
I've got some serious sausage fingers and toes today. I can't even get my rings off.....bleh. Well, even though I'm sorry you have to go through that too, it is nice to know that I'm not the only one.

Peppermint oil not good for my tummy, I did give it some time to see if it helped and when I finally tried the maximum recommended dose it burned and gave me diarrhea. I need to find the food triggers instead. I know a few now. Popcorn makes me bloat horribly! Salad is the same, which is what I eat a lot at work so I need to change that "good" habit to something else.

Maybe it's not the salad but something in the dressing? Or something on the salad?

My GI doctor said lettuce is bad and I have tested it several times. I think he is right. I feel better when I don't eat lettuce at all. I'm not a very good eater and I keep trying to eat better but I'm a picky eater and having something "healthy" being taken off my limited list is pretty bad.
