Does anyone know what we use in gluton free flour as a binder? The endo diet cookbook says that most of the gluteon free flours require a binding agent and also they must be rotated. Does anyone know what that means or what I'm supposed to use?

I am visiting a gluteen free bakery today~ I can't wait to pick up bday cupcakes for me and my sis. I will post her website not sure how it would taste if it was not fresh tho. I have a recipe my great aunt is using for a sweet bread to I have to find and post...she uses a bread maker I have to get one. Anyone have a good brand they use?

When I googled guar gum or xanthan gum it didn't sound like it was good for you. Isn't it processed?

WoW girls just a update on my champange consumption OUCH no galbadder + alcohol = Pain. Two glasses and I was feeling like I was having a flashback. My husband had said oh you better watch it and I am so stubborn that I pretented it was ok and I was fine. It hurt like heck tho. Darn it and it was not cheap either lol I only wish it felt as good as it tasted!

The cleveland doc really wants me sticking to this diet. The test in october should of been done right but I'm moving on from it and glutteen free is not all bad I love the rasin bread I picked up the other day I'm still only it off the Brat diet. I picked up cereal and brown rice pasta. I have to use something in place of tomatoe sauce tho doc wants 0 acid foods for now too. I noticed my break out on myy chest is starting to clear could be that I'm eating the bread? If celiac is the problem it has so many issues,..Neurological,anemia,gastro a long list its posted at the health food store I buy from. I never knew how much it could do to your body. Oh and Auto Immune issues too girls! We should all be tested just a thought.

I don't like the brown rice pasta as much - it can get gummy - but Sunshine told me about a quinoa/corn flour pasta and it rocks!!
Good luck with the new diet. Although I wouldn't wish celiac on anyone, it'd be nice to have some answers so you can formulate a plan of attack!

Oh oh! I tried the quinoa/corn pasta the other night and it was FAB!!!! My hubby didn't even know the difference. I was so very reluctant and I'm a saucy Italian , but I must say, it wasn't bad at all. Had pretty much the same consistency and loads of flavor! Keri, maybe instead of pasta sauce, you could use Olive Oil and fresh herbs? Maybe with some steamed veg? That's one of my favs...
