I will keep on it, but my gut is on the fence. I am just frustrated and don't want to feel like my insides are getting worse, I really dread each period more and more. Last night I told my husband it felt like I needed to poop out a Volkswagen Beetle... I did have some diarrhea but no foreign autos have emerged yet.

Well, at least you can keep your sense of humor about it! Changing your diet can, in fact, change your flow because it can help your hormones balance out a bit more. We have all sorts of random members in the past that went on the endo diet and became pregnant within a few months due to the hormones changing a bit and inflammation decreasing. Of course it doesn't work for everyone, but it somehow changes cycles/flows!

I just got back from Target and they have the betty crocker GF cake mixes on for cheap, I got mine for under $2 a box, they are normally almost $5 a box. Good time to stock up incase you need to do some baking and want to also enjoy the treats you make. They have chocolate and yellow. I made some for work and everyone said they couldn't believe they were GF.

This will be my first holiday being GF - I also don't host dinner so I'll be a guest. I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for gravy or sides that I can make and take to the hosting party's home so I know at least there are afew things I can also enjoy. I believe there are GF gravy mixes, does anyone know if there are any ready mix jar varieties so I could just heat it in the microwave? I guess I could always make the packet and just take it with me in a container.
Looking forward to hearing what you all normally make/take for holiday dinners.

I'm fairly new at this too. This is what I find the hardest to deal with when you're on a restricted diet. When you get invited for social outings or family dinners, it's hard to explain and/or avoid. I get sick every time because it's almost impossible. Maybe it's just best to bring your own. You could probably make gravy the same way but use rice flour instead.

I was searching gluten free gravy and I THINK boston market gravy is GF. I have to check their nutrition list - if it is, I'll just pick some up and take that, easy breezy. The stuffing will be the hardest for me to avoid...I love the stuffing that is made for family dinners.

I also seem to recall that Whole Foods makes GF pies, will have to check into that because none of the desserts I will be able to have so I think if I take a nice spring fruit pie, that will be nice and then I can have some as well! I haven't ventured into the GF baking yet....I used to make a really good apple pie with homemade crust, I don't see why I can't use the GF all purpose flour, maybe I'll give that a shot one of these days.

I haven't been brave enough to figure out how to make GF pie crust yet. It feels sacrilegious! Let me know if it works, and what you did to make it work.

I love Living Without. I often get their magazine. I'm proud of myself today. I didn't eat any gluten at Easter. I had a little dairy, but nothing super crazy. I'm getting a lot better at refusing all those delicious gluten filled deserts.

I called Whole foods and bakers square - nobody makes GF pie....sigh....guess I'll have to tackle that myself one of these days. On a very positive note, my MIL went out of her way yesterday to make sure she had a ton of GF snacks for me and also even got some tapioca flour to use in some of the dishes she made so I could enjoy them - made me feel so good that she took the time to learn and go the extra mile. She had these really yummy chips from trader joes, quinoa and black bean I think they were - YUMMY!

Oh that's great--so glad that she is supportive! that means so much. It made me so happy, it was so sweet of her and really made me feel understood and supported. She said she was running checking stuff on the computer to see what she could substitute and even the guys liked all the snacks! It was a total hit!
