Okay, everyone! It's time to... b*tch about your boss!
I'll start:
I got it from my boss, today, for hanging up on a customer who, if it had been anywhere else, I'd have had every right to hang up on (though, it's not like he was still speaking - he finished what he was saying, after he proceeded to curse and yell, paused for quite a lengthy beat, and since his account was already canceled, and he had refused to pay the balance that was left on it, there was nothing that I could do, plus he didn't let me speak, anyway, so when he finished his tirade, I hung up).
Okay. So, I had this feeling he was going to call back, while I was still researching approximately three pages of history (which, when you open up each comment line, expands into 3 or 4 pages, 'cause he was a b*tcher), and I figured someone was going to say something about it.
The b*tch (my boss) asked me about what kind of issue it was, so I told her he addressed something from a few months ago, but wouldn't let me speak, or give me time to research and see exactly who he needed to speak with, and since he'd said what he'd said and cursed a lot, and it sounded like he was finished, I hung up, but was still trying to find out who needed to handle this problem, since he's talked to everyone and their dog at the branch, even all the way up to corporate.
She kept repeating how it wasn't appropriate to hang up (I agree, somewhat, but anywhere else, you could "disposition" the call as soon as a curse was uttered, and nothing bad would happen, because they realize that they don't pay you enough to take that kind of abuse from ANYONE). Anyway, apparently, I was supposed to put him on hold for 10 minutes and find out who he needed to talk to, or send her the call (which she would've kicked back to me, or someone else, anyway), further enraging the guy... and she commenced to tell me that some people don't realize they're doing it, it's just their way, but if that's the case, I should be able to curse like a sailor at work, every time I get pissed, because that's just MY way, but I'd get fired for that.
C|_|nt.
Long story short, she looked through the history, and found the same sh*t I found, which was multiple issues, and that in fact, someone was supposed to remove him from some part of the database, and they didn't do it. And, she kept repeating herself. She wasted plenty of time repeating herself. Next time, I'm going to just repeat everything she says back to me, so she'll realize that not only do I comprehend, but that she's already said what she's already said. And she'll get annoyed with herself, because the more she says what she's already said, the more I'm just going to repeat it, right back at her. Or I'll just punt her across the office. Whatever.
I hate her. The Darth Midget. That's what I call her.

So, it sounds like they brought you back on, eh? Sorry, kiddo... I mean, it's good that you're working again, just not with her!

I have mixed feelings about my boss. On the one hand, we get on very well, we're probably too close/friendly/informal. On the other hand, as a boss, I have very little respect for him. None of the other senior managers have any respect for him, and some times I really wish I didn't work for him. Then I feel really guilty, cos he's actually been quite supportive over the past months while I've been a basket case. We're currently trying to recruit for someone to work under me...but we can not seem to agree on the person.
He boils my p1ss some days.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha*breathe*hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Boiling p1ss! AMAZING. I'm going to have to steal that one.
I had another run in, today, for having a little more vocal intonation than normal, this morning. I wanted to tell her to kiss my ass in a very, very calm, quiet manner. Try and prove that one, b1tch, there are no witnesses.
I swear to Christ, something needs to happen really soon, before I f*cking really tell her what-for. Sh*t.

I have mixed feelings about my boss, most of the time she is not here, but when she is, she is bitchy....my biggest complaint is that she never remembers what she approves. So you have to write down anything that she approves, so that months down the road, when she is asking, how did this occur, you have proof that she did aprove it. But she changes her mind about everthing depending on who she is talking to at the moment. It is very annoing, but on the days she is not here.....those are heaven.

I told my mom about "boiling piss," and not only did she laugh as hard as I did, she agreed that that's the most perfect way to describe the way someone gets under your skin, and just drives you batsh*t.
I'd totally bust someone's ass for the text message, especially after the manipulation. That's my biggest hot button, right there. Go for it, if you think it will work, and make sure people don't f*ck with you, in the future. If you're the first to speak up about something like that at your job, or the first of many he's sent similar things to, just remember - someone's gotta be the first at something. Imagine the first guy who ate an egg. Or the first guy to don the primitive jock strap. Or the first lady who decided to reign in the girls with the primitive bra. Or even the first guy to wrap his rascal before playing "Hide the Salami."
But I digress. I'm losing my sh*t, and my boss is responsible. I just have to remind myself that I need to persevere, breathe, and think, before I stab someone with ordinary office supplies. I swear, she has the longest, severely splintered stick up her ass. I keep telling her that that's not how one is supposed to ride a broom, but she just won't listen.

Yesterday...
I had this customer who would NOT let me help her... wouldn't even let me away from the phone to go radio her technician, wouldn't let me finish a sentence, accused me of not being interested in her complaints, accused me of lying about why she couldn't get through on the phone lines all day (all of them were ringing nonstop all day, sorry), and to top it all off, she asked me if I was really trying to get ahold of her tech the whole time she was on the phone with me... I said, "Ma'am, I've tried to tell you to hold on for 5 seconds, so I can go grab a radio, but you won't let me away from the phone, but yes, I have been trying to get away from the phone so I can get ahold of your tech, this whole time." Not only did I not raise my voice, swear, take an attitude, but no matter how psycho sh*tty she got with me, and the more outlandish her accusations became, the calmer I made myself sound. Flash forward to end of conversation: "What's your manager's name?" Gave her manager's name, but told her manager wouldn't be available, immediately. "I didn't say I wanted to talk to a manager right now." "No, ma'am, you didn't... but I'm giving you the name of the manager, since you asked me, so that you know who to ask for when you call back when you WANT to talk to a manager." F*cking stupid b*tch. Then, my manager walks in 30 seconds later, I'm still documenting the b*tch's account, and the b*tch called back asking for her. I pulled my manager aside before she took the call, and said I was still documenting the account... tell me why the stupid b*tch (my manager) gave me this "What the hell did you do THIS time???" look, assuming I started sh*t with a customer, when I never ever have done anything like that, even though she busted my chops the previous week when I didn't do anything wrong, then either? I put my hand in her face, said, "Don't. I have 4 witnesses to the fact that not only could I not finish a sentence, but I did not take a 'tone' with this woman, and all I tried to do was help, and she refused to let me help."
I was waiting to be called into her office again, at which point, I would've been forced to quit or be fired, because I'm so sick of her sh*t. I heard her take the call from this woman, and she wouldn't let HER finish a single sentence, either. Boss B*tch comes out and says, "Okay, we don't have to cancel this, we just have to reschedule, and I agree, she was very difficult." I almost shot back, "Oh, so you mean that sh*tty ass look that you gave me, when you jumped to the conclusion that I f*cked up, was admittedly uncalled for?" F*cking c*nt.
I read the notes on the account, later, and the b*tch caller put words in my mouth that I never said, so I updated the notes accordingly, adding what I did NOT say, and what I was trying to say on one of numerous occasions of not being able to complete a sentence, as my job requires... you know, acknowledge the customer's concerns, etc. So, HA. Tomorrow, I'm going to put an action on the account for me to complete, so that the notes can't be altered, once I complete the action, and it will have everything down, for the record. I can't believe I'm now having to cover my ass for things I haven't even DONE, b/c my b*tch boss is out to get me. I'm not paranoid. She is a horrible person and a huge b*tch, and everyone under her has formally complained about her in some way. I don't understand why she's still around, honestly. It's one of life's great mysteries. I did, however, let the assistant branch manager know that if it ever came to it, I'd happily go on the record with my thoughts about how horrible a person she is, and how she treats people like garbage, and kisses other people's asses, treating some people a LOT better than others, for no reason that I can think of, other than those of us that don't want to have to work with or for people like her, for a sh*tty ass company that treats their employees like sh*t, forever, and because of that, are trying like hell to get a degree, and gtfo.
That's just how I see it.

Very well put sunshine.........I feel for you I really do. I've had to work WITH people like your boss, but fortunately never FOR someone like her. Make sure you document/keep a diary of every time she's horrible to you, make a note of every conversation so that if it ever comes down to it, you've got the evidence of how horrible she's been and don't have to try to remember it 6 months down the line. What a cow!! Nobody should be allowed to be a boss unless they're able to support their staff, it shouldn't always be about cracking the whip!

Oh, and when I was teaching, I had a HORRIBLE principal. He was a complete d*ck to me the first three years I was there, even tried to get me to apply elsewhere! But, as soon as I was off probation (and basically would have had to break the law to get fired, and even then it would have been hard), he kept telling me how great I was. When I quit mid-year, he spent a good 45 minutes in my classroom when I was trying to pack up on my last day, trying to make small talk and tell me how much they'd all miss me.
The guy had to review me at least twice a year my first three years, then once every 3 years after that. He always 'lost' the reviews, or only stopped in for 5 minutes and based his write up on that. One year he wrote up a review based on when he passed my classroom in the hallway (my room was right next to the office)! The guy was an idiot. He'd call staff meetings, make us come in early (we were under contract and only had to be there from 7:45-3). He'd call the meeting for 7:20 so we'd all get there early, but he wouldn't show up until at LEAST 7:30 or 7:40. One time when he walked in late, a coworker casually mentioned that watches were on sale at a department store and perhaps he should consider buying one. The guy was just a douche.

What a c*cksucker!!! OMFG, I HATEHATEHATE when people say, "be there at this time" and THEY'RE f*cking late.
Last week, my boss made everyone commit to a 2:30 time for our weekly timeflush (meeting)... and she was f*cking late. The branch manager was pissed off, and said, "With or without her, we're having this meeting," lolol. Ah, the other managers don't like her, either. As a matter of fact, the one I was talking to the other day, the one I told that I thought she was a horrible person, actually said, "I f*cking hate ____." HAHAHA. That's motherf*cking RIGHT.
Yesterday, I felt like an elephant sat on my face, so I called in and said I'd be there for a half-day, until I could get the pain under control.
She came up to me, today, "Hi, there... are you feeling better?" All nice, and sh*t. She's such a Fakey McFakerson, and she can go fake off.
OMFG, I'm stuck there for at least another three months, since I got this "returned from layoff" bonus, and it's already spent, on making my car safe to drive, again. I can't leave before 90 days from the day it went into my account, or I have to pay it back. Fockers.

Yikes, that bonus is bitter-sweet!
Office Space was on last weekend and I watched parts of it again. That sh*t cracks me up every time! ("I hear you've been missing a lot of work lately." "Well, I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it.")
