Good evening ladies, I'm wondering if anyone has had any problems with Provera causing them to be overly aggressive. My doc put me on 10 mg once a day. I took 2 doses and seriously felt like I could have wrestled a grizzly bear to the ground. I didn't take it last night and have felt like my normal mild mannered self today. Does anyone think there could there be a connection?

I do think this drug affects different people in different ways. I had terrible mood swings before I had my lap and the Provera and was actually a bit calmer for while I was on it.

Update on me- will the spotting ever end? ever since I got off Lupron in July and my cycle came back at the end of October, I been having the spotting issue. I will start spotting 3-4 days before actual AF. mostly when I wipe but if I have sex around that time, the bleeding will get heavier. sometimes it is not even enough for a pantyliner and it will keep starting and stopping. And then when actual full flow AF starts, then she will last for 7-8 days. So with the spotting and AF combined, it is like I am bleeding for 2 solid weeks. I did a round of Clomid before we knew of my husband's zero sperm count due to testererone replacement shots. Still spotted before AF. And when they tested my progesterone after my round of Clomid, it was only 8.1! Then he put me on 100 mg of prometrium. Still same thing. Tried it for 2 months. So now he switched me to 10 mg of Provera. just took my first pill yesterday of that. He told me to try it for it 2 months. If that doesn't work, then we have to do an ultrasound on my uterus. I may have uterine polyps. and if so they will have to removed with a minor surgery. We got back to the urologist on June 8th for another sperm test on my husband. We are still TTC and hopefully he will have some swimmers back. He has been of TRT since Jan 20th and have him on a multivitamin and fertility blend for men. Anyone else had experience with this with all the spotting? I keep getting worried that my endo may be back, but my gyno doesn't think that is the case. and I have no pain at all not even on my periods. Sometimes I wouldn't even know AF is here unless I go to the bathroom and wipe. when I do get cramps, they are so light, nothing that an aleve couldn't handle.

If you've taken prometrium (progesterone) or provera (progestin), you're throwing off your hormone balance and risk spotting. Endo or not, that can be a result, particularly if you're taking a much higher progeterone dose than the estrogen your body is producing. I'm assuming you're taking it after ovulation to extend your luteal phase?

10mg pf Provera once a day? As far as I know that's a low dose to try and prevent bleeding. I was on 10 mg twice a day and had no spotting at all. According to the reference book the pharmacist had when I went to collect a scripy, it is 10 mg 3 x daily. Have you asked your doc what the purpose of the Provera is? A lower dose like 10 mg is normally used when trying to induce a perios in women TTC or not regularly cycling.
